"If you like deep fried, this is the place for you. Or mussels -- pretty much the only non-fried option. My wife said the mussels were fine. My salmon was deep fried (why,?) and tasted okay -- but doesn't anyone have a grill around here?"

"We have eaten here two nights in a row. My wife enjoyed two rare opportunities to have a perfect lobster dinner. I had a fine scallop dinner the first time, then had the best seafood chowder I have had in 9 days on the island today, plus an excellent fish and chips. Seafood here is fresh, fresh, fresh. Service is good. Talk to Calvin at the lobster pool if you wish to choose your personal lobster. Not fancy, just friendly people serving great food."

"We had a great meal here. I don't eat meat or fish, so I had to have onion rings (yes) a baked potato and coleslaw. Great for me...I don't expect a vegan in a fish restaurant. My husband enjoyed his fish meal. What really made this place special were people. They pressed us, let us change our reservation at short notice. Beautiful windows around the seat....busy and fun sounds...Chats with neighboring diners. Dive here if you enjoy friendly service and the sounds of happily busy people."

"We had no idea what Georgie’s was like when we decided to go there for dinner, and were very pleasantly surprised at its upscale yet comfortable feel and fantastic view. And the food?! Oh my gosh, it was sensational. Among other things, I had a bisque that was out of this world (see picture). My husband had a seafood platter that was mind boggling delicious. Our server had been on her feet all day yet was as nice and attentive as can be. This place is a gem! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"A little more upscale in decor than the usual for Twillingate, you may get the impression it is pricey. It's not, really. The menu is limited but from what we've tried if it, it's well done. Seafood dominated as you would expect. The garlic shrimp are a definite hit. Service is immaculate, and it's an overall a very pleasant experience."
