"The warm welcome of this coffee shop is still on my mind six months after a single visit. My husband and I stopped by on Saturday morning, October 1, 2022 after an innocuous google search for “coffee shops near me.” We were initially concerned we had invaded a private venue, since the shop was crowded with families, a woman making balloon animals, and a jovial atmosphere where everyone seemed to know each other. Tentatively, we made our way to the counter and ordered drinks and breakfast sandwiches. We asked for our items go “Why?!” the owner joked, recognizing the chaotic energy). We sat down at the only empty table to wait for our items and were accidentally served “for here” on plates. I am so glad for the misunderstanding. We watched as multiple fellow customers came and went, most greeted by name, with pets and kids, discussing sports activities and weekend plans in English and Spanish. We marveled at the wall of photos, and felt enveloped in a global community we had just discovered moments before. When we left, the owner apologized for the wait and the mix up, but I thanked him and said “Now we feel like family!” As we walked back to our car a block away, I was overcome by emotion for our unexpected breakfast immersion. The feeling of belonging was palpable and so unexpected. Thank you, Arosa family, for using sandwiches, caffeine and incredible smiles to embrace the world, making all of us your neighbors. I look forward to my next visit to Seattle."

"I was surprised not to find a line out the door like I've seen with most icecream places in Seattle. The chocolate pudding and salted caramel icecream were so good! The one scoop is a great size for an after dinner treat. They had board games as well, but I just came for the icecream. The guy working there was super helpful and looked up ingredients because of an allergy."
