"Brunch review: what kind of place does not make pfannkuchen on their Sunday brunch menu? this place that has left two of us very disappointed. so they had French toast, that was, well, bizarre: flavored with cap’n crunch müsli. the lobster roll was pretty good, the avocado toast quite unimaginable – toast and avocado (with a stabbed egg as tip-o-the-hat too brunch.) the problem is that it is quite midday and not enough brunchy. should the restaurants of la jolla not have espresso machines? I think so."

"My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday on 09/29/17. We were greeted as soon as we got in and promptly seated. Unbeknownst to me, my boyfriend was working with Laura and had asked her to find us seats with a great view. Oh boy, she DID NOT disappoint. We were seated in the corner, away from the hustle and bustle in the restaurant. We had the perfect view of the sunset as well as the ocean. It was such a romantic setting...definitely made my 30th very memorable. The food and drinks were excellent. We had the calamari, about 2 dozens fresh oysters, the 22 oz steak for me, lobster mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Everything was so delicious, I definitely pigged out. I walked out of there feeling so full and satisfied. They even brought me out a birthday dessert! Then a couple days ago, LAURA even went above and beyond as to call my boyfriend to follow up and make sure that we enjoyed ourselves. Her customer service is something to be praised. Laura is an asset to this restaurant. Thank you so much!"

"The order was simple, but the menu was not. Many options with badges that specify which diet fonts they correspond to. It took a long time to get through the line, although the line wasn't so long. The food was great and the dining area was nice. It was clean and well maintained."

"Duke's in La Jolla was a wonderful experience! The sea view with Torrey Pines in the distance is beautiful! We enjoyed swimming people and paddling canoes. The food was excellent! The most delicious Hawaiian food I've ever tasted. The drinks where very well processed. The serving size for a few drinks was scary. That said we had two. If we can go back to sunset dinner"
