"The best soul food spot in the Lansing area. I recommend calling ahead for your order. The pork chop dinner, mac and cheese, and cornbread stuffing was delicious. I also tried the peach cobbler but will not get it again the next time I go. The owner was doing it all himself and was very friendly."

"My first visit and I loved it. I pre-ordered a week in advanced. I arrived 15 minutes early to pick up my order, and told them I was early. They immediately put my order together and was out the door in under 5 mins. The pulled pork paczkis were really good. Picture perfect."

"I ordered the brisket Bahn Mi. It was my first experience with it ever, so I don't know what to compare it to, but it was very good! Personally thought it could have used some more sauce, but maybe that is not how it's made? My friends got the barnyard sandwich and it was HUGE! Could easily feed 2, possibly more."

"Vastly disappointed. Inferior cooking and lack of flavor. Due not waste money. A kind, professional, and over tasked waitress.Bread was dry, and additional helpings was over priced. Clearly from a bag. Green beans were mush, and pure salt. Clearly from a can and over cooked. Baked Mac Cheese was salty, and bland. Andouille sausage was over cooked, and had no accompanying sauces, breads, corn bread, etc.Caesar Salad, had bland chicken and over cooked.House Salad had no egg."

"Several months ago, I made a special trip there from 3 towns away, only to find out they were closed on that particular day due to a staffing shortage. It happens, I was disappointed, but life carries on. Yesterday, I called about an hour in advance to ensure that they were open that day. They were, so I made the trip there. After waiting at the drive-through intercom for 5 minutes with no sign of an employee, I call the place, only to be told it 's Online orders only. Of course, that wasn 't relayed to me during the first call. Apparently, if management isn 't there, they can 't accept drive-through orders, which is bizarre and makes literally no sense. And oh yeah, their parking lot is chock-full of potholes. This place was once permanently closed according to Google in the recent past and it may as well be again. It 's run down and a complete waste of time."
