"Updating my review from 5 stars to one star. Do NOT COME HERE. I repeat. Came in on June 8th, and had Jon as our server. It was one of his first days working here, he was the absolute sweetest, most caring, took above and beyond excellent care of us and had an amazing experience thanks to his service. Came back 2 days later asking for him, one of his co workers said he was fired. I said there’s no way he way he was an excellent server, one of the best I had in a long time. His co worker told me( she herself was very upset too and couldn’t believe it) their manager fired him for absolutely no reason. Co worker said he was doing his job excellent. He couldn’t give him one reason as to why he was let go. I know for a fact this man did his job above and beyond anywhere I’ve been. I feel terrible for that poor man. Awful place with terrible management and I will never return. Servers work hard and to be treated that way especially on the first few days, terrible place."

"I wonder what determines if you are lucky enough to get good service at this restaurant? The first time i came to this restaurant, we were seated but never waited on, even after trying to find someone, so we left. I tried to go again with a friend, and we had to go search for a hostess to seat us. There seemed to be some confusion amongst the staff as to where the hostess was and who would seat us. After being seated, it took at least 10 minutes to get our drinks, another 30 minutes to get our appetizer, and we never received our dinner. At this point, we?d been there for an hour and a half. In the meantime, there seemed to be no rush to get us refills or clear dishes from our very tiny table. Once we inquired about our dinner, she said they?d had issues with the kitchen receiving orders and they may not have got it. I?m wondering why after an hour of waiting, it never occurred to the server that she should check on our order? She was very kind despite this. We had somewhere we needed to be and didn?t have time to wait, so we left. Despite all the good reviews, all of the reviews from people having this same experience seem to be ignored by the owners. It appears this has been an issue with the restaurant for some time too, at least since they opened. It says a lot that the owners seem to be unbothered by the amount of people who are receiving such poor service and are unwilling or not knowing how to improve the quality of service they offer on a consistent basis. It is very unlikely that I will return."

"Im glad i talked everyone out of going to Ihop for breakfast, crooked tree cafe hit the spot in ways other breakfast restaurant can not compare to. I had there homemade biscuits and gravy with two over-easy eggs, and bacon. Can i tell you this was truely homemade meal. Sorry mom, the biscuits were so soft an fluffy. The gravy was seasoned perfectly. The eggs are absolutely farm rasied chickens. Could not have been happier with this place. Come in see our server sarah, shes as awesome as the food was. Loved this place."

"Good BBQ. If you have not tried their white barbecue sauce, you must! So good! (pro tip, mix it with the red). UPDATE: I've had a few issues not always getting a full pound of pork, not getting the sauce I requested in my bag, and they have recently gone up on their prices. And when I've emailed about issues I get no response. So something is going on here at the end of 2021."

"I just had a wonderful experience at The Manna House Cafe. Ms. Theresa served me. Ms. Joyce, Mr. Thomas, and Ms. Debra were also present and very friendly. The restaurant is small but the environment is full of love and the food was wonderful and comforting. I am an over the road truck driver, so I will be back when I am on home time once again in the future. I have already placed flyers of the restaurant in the administration, shop, and driver 's areas of our terminal 10 minutes away. Hope this brings some business. : Pictured below is lunch (which is gone : baked chicken placed on rice with a side of mac-n-cheese and fried okra. I also went ahead and ordered another plate for dinner since I will be staying in my truck tonight: grilled tilapia, mac-n-cheese (yes, its good , and cabbage. Both plates came with a small corn bread loaf. So super good. Hope y 'all visit and enjoy."

"Some of best Q I’ve EVER had! The greens, baked beans and mac cheese (only 3 of the many sides) are the perfect compliment to whatever tasty meat you might get! The KC sauce is superb, and i like pouring the NC sauce over my greens. You’ve GOT to try this place!"

"So good!! First time I went, the dressing wasn't the best, but everything else was so I decided to try it again today and baby! It was on point! The peach cobbler was the best I've ever had!! And I consider myself the connoisseur of soul food. This spot takes me to my happy place because it's brothers in there working and running the business and it's absolutely delicious. (I'm sure there's a sister in there somewhere, but the men are up front. Kudos to this establishment and if you want great tasting soul food that soothes your soul and satisfies your pallette for expertly seasoned meals, this is the place...and you won't break the bank doing so!"

"I feel so sad I have to write this review because I write reviews good bad or indifferent! The food looked like what I could make at home obviously but I?m out of town and trying different popular places. My goodness the pasta part of this taste likestore bought Alfredo sauce with an entire bottle of Cajun seasoning and parsley on top! I did like the salmon a bit but couldn?teat it either because it?s salty ????, it didn?t come with a bread or side like most places that sell pasta dishes do or a drinkand this cost me over $24 and I can?t even eat it. I actually gave it to a homeless person and called it a night, I love blackowned businesses and I?m sure a lot of people love the food here but this was my first time and the first thing I ever orderedtoday as well. This is just one of those cases where an overpriced meal and taste with food presentation didn?t match and justlike businesses say inflation is real and that?s the reason for the price gouge people like myself have to work hard for thatmoney we give just to get this kind of situation. The lady that gave me my food was a pleasure to deal with for sure so theydefinitely aren?t lacking in customer service but infusion crab I can?t believe this is my first experience."
