"Good but overpriced. We went tonight and got sushi and the chicken teriyaki. I got the California Roll and the Crunch Roll. <br/ <br/ The California Roll was good, typical California Roll (minus cream cheese). The Crunch Roll was yummy, but the roll was the circumference of a soda can. I don 't use chopsticks, and it may be easier to eat with chopsticks, but it was basically impossible with a fork. I basically had to cut up each slice and eat it like a hash, and it left a mess because the elements pretty much fell all over the boat and the table.<br/ <br/ The chicken teriyaki comes as a three-course meal with a soup/salad course, appetizer course and main course. The soup/salad were decent, and small. The appetizer was a single tempura pork stick with some kind of slaw. The chicken teriyaki was your basic stir-fried chicken and steamed rice, not more impressive than a fast-food meal. <br/ <br/ After tip, it cost $45 dollars. The sushi portion of that was reasonable, or at least the going rate. But the chicken teriyaki was overpriced. You get 'lots of food ' but you only have the multi-course option, which we wouldn 't have chosen had a simple entree been available at a lesser price. I would go back for a sushi roll, or get takeout, but not for just a regular Asian dinner. I can get an equivalent at a drive-through for more flavor."

"We had really good sushi at Shiro Kuma. We had other sushi restaurants in / around Larkspur tried and they were meh or meh and wow that was expensive! Shiro Kuma was great and very reasonable (like, not Marin price! Everything was really good. They even had fish livers! You don't see that much in the USA."

"Very nice place where you can eat a delicious Japanese food. You are welcome by the team. We recommand it good to know: at 22h00 it is the last food order, it seems that the goal is to finish 23h00. "Wir hatten für den Mittagstisch reserviert. Obwohl wir aufgrund schwieriger Parkplatzsuche fast 25 Minuten zu spät kamen und obwohl das Restaurant gut besucht war, wurde der Tisch für uns freigehalten. Der erste positive Eindruck bestätigte sich dann beim Essen (gemischte Sushiplatte und Sushirollenplatte): der Reis war perfekt - noch minimal körnig, gut klebrig, feiner süßlich-säuerlicher Geschmack. Auch der Fisch war von sehr guter Qualität. Leider wurde die Misosuppe ein wenig spät serviert, was aber nicht schlimm war, da auch sie ganz wunderbar schmeckte - auch zum Sushi dazu! Wir waren mit unserer 1,5 Jahre alten Tochter dort und hatten zu keinem Zeitpunkt den Eindruck, dass das irgendwie nicht willkommen war. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne mal wieder!"

"Probably one of the most disappointing Japanese meals I have ever had. Since I lived in Japan for 20 years, I know what good Japanese food is supposed to be like. The tori karaage almost had no chicken in it and was mostly skin, which I have never seen before. Is this a money-saving measure? Shockingly price at almost eight pounds. Their Japanese sausages while authentic were way too small and overpriced. If you still want to go to Tosa, I would suggest getting the nasu dengaku, which was quite good, and perhaps some yakitori (although this too is overpriced . But the most disappointing part of my Tosa experience started before I even went there. When I called to book a table, I was greeted in a rude manner by the Japanese lady who took my call. Moreover, this same woman was rude when I was in the restaurant. (If you must go to Tosa, talk to the other staff, who are much friendlier. One of the best things about going to a Japanese restaurant outside of Japan is to experience the great service that you would normally receive at many restaurants at Japan, so in this respect Tosa fell far short of my expectations. If you are in west London and have a hankering for Japanese food, go to Kiraku, where the service is far better, even though the menu may currently be less extensive."

"Nice Japanese restaurant in good location. The service is friendly and fast and we got a place without reservation even though almost all tables were occupied. The food was good (sushi, soups and a main course with beef), but nothing special. The price-performance ratio is good but not overwhelming."
