"40th St. Cutting Blvd need training from the cooks in East Oakland. The staff are nice but I witness them to take the chicken out of the bag dip it in flour then fry. No seasoning. Plain nasty fresh tasting chicken. Same for Richmond well they do have flavor. Yeah burnt grease before noon. Thus far Popeye and Kfc are the only ones that season their food and it makes me angry to pay $10 for food that I could cook better. They never taste their food it happens often. I went with others and I would rather cook my own food then pay for plain flavorless chicken. They keep getting worse And the new tiny chicken wings are a joke. New size but same plain taste. There's salt-free seasoning We're not dogs and we deserve flavorful food regardless if we do not cook ìt ourselves. Just telling the truth. Since you askéd"

"I just found out this intimate tiki bar is closing at the end of this month along with the adjacent restaurant, Palmetto, which I enjoyed for a birthday dinner before (review: yelp.to/P1eOFNvLj4). What a shame since this was starting to become part of Jamie W. 's and my weekend cocktail orbit. Alas, we 'll continue going to their flagship bar on 14th, but...Truth be told, they were a friendlier, looser crew here. The frozen libations were lovely and always our first preference. Jamie went for the $15 Painkiller (rum/pineapple/orange/coconut/vanilla/nutmeg) (photo: yelp.to/mheKHjityn), while I had the $14 Disco Banana (rum/banana/cinnamon/lime) (photo: yelp.to/q2IbrHbiLn). Both were tasty variations on Pina Coladas. We couldn 't help but share the $10 Ripper Dog, a long dog deep fried and nestled in a Hawaiian roll slathered with Kewpie mayo, chili furikake, and pickles (photo: yelp.to/Xr7URWxF4c). Just the perfect bar fare. We had only been twice and now it 's gone. There are never enough tiki bars.
