"I think breakfast is always the hardest to find while travelling but this spot has good options and opens early. Love the loaded peanut butter toast with frozen fruit and the avocado toast (skip cheese to be vegan). Also has fresh juices. This spot is well known for amazing coffee and the espresso was terrific. Loved that they sell locally made jarred peanut butter and vegan chocolate bars. Very nice owner, comfy well decorated space. Fee wifi too!"

"We went to this place hoping to get some food and drinks as it was the last night for one of my travelling companions. When they started to demand what drinks and food we had to buy instead of getting to choose, we decided to leave. My guess is that they saw two male "gringos" with a small group of local women and assumed we were rich and could be ripped off. We found a nicer place across the road."

"This restaurant charged us double for the carbonara my husband ordered. He ate very little of it, as the pasta was sticky and cold, and the sauce didn't come close to resembling any carbonara we'd previously had. We did not complain about the food, but nicely explained that we were charged double for one meal and showed them the price in the menu. When ordering, husband pointed to the meal he wanted and the price was right there. They refused to budge after speaking to several people. There are a number of far better restaurants in the area which we enjoyed. Beware...Il Forno might very well cheat you."

"Best breakfast place in Medellin. I tried el calentado paisa in several other restaurants, but her is the best without any doubt. You run out sometimes later in the morning, so go early if you want to be guaranteed. Your mango juice is also the best in town. Finally, the employees are the most nice people I met in Medellin!"

"Medellin's gastronomy in the past years has had a growing amount of new restaurants with delicious food. One of the dishes that has grown the most is pizza, most of the pizza places are more gourmet, thin crust, not many ingredients.Chicago's deep dish is very delicious, lots of cheese and pepperoni. The restaurant is very nice and the service is great."

"A Colombian friend took us to this restaurant and I'm so glad he did! Everyone eating here and in this plaza is Colombian. The food was fantastic. We had the cazuela de mariscos (seafood stew) and trout with tamarind sauce. The seafood was fresh and tasty, and it was such a great vibe, eating outside. We also had fresh mango juice. Our meal came with coconut rice, a small salad, and the trout also came with a small stew. It was so much food! The price was very reasonable, but you need in pay in cash. The service staff was very friendly."
