"After shopping at the James Street Market at the end of last month, I saw a long queue in front of the counter of this place. My curiosity told me to approach it and had a look. Oh! They were queuing for the sorbet. Therefore, I grouped with them and followed the queue for my Watermelon sorbet. Well, it is definitely worth for the wait; the sorbet is soft with rich flavour of watermelon. Lucky day!"

"We ate at this restaurant under it's previous name of Oriental Yum Cha and have been meaning to try it again since it changed ownership. We went with some friends and opted for the all-you-can-eat buffet which is good value if you are hungry. (Note that you get a 10% discount for paying cash.)There was a good selection of dumplings and pastries and they were of reasonable quality and flavour. The sweet items were good - egg tarts, mango pancakes and taufu fah (sweet tofu pudding). You can order items that do not appear on the dim sum trolleys directly from the staff but the service is just a little haphazard - perhaps the staff are too busy.The bathrooms are not that bad - the toilet cubicles were clean but perhaps the sink area in the ladies needs to be re tiled. The restaurant it quite modern and doesn't have the same noisy, buzzy atmosphere as the traditional yum cha restaurants."

"I used to rate Pineapple Express second to its main rival Kiss the Berry. Perhaps they jumped on the bandwagon, but their bowls and smoothies have certainly kept their quality and have improved in taste since my last visit a year ago I live an hour away). I couldn't even finish my mango bowl it was so massive. The service was quick and the staff look like they love a healthy lifestyle, or at least hit the gym. And it has indoor and outdoor seating. The reason it gets 4 out of 5 stars is because the sparkling water tap wasn't functional. Perhaps I'm fancy, but free sparkling water is a draw for me. Ha. Ha. When you're at Portside next, stop by Pineapple Express where your quick snack will be the size of a meal."
