"OK so the cheese isn't as cheesy' as what I'm used to, but it was delicious none-the-less! I was amazed that the vegan pizza options are any of the 4 vegetarian pizzas, but they'll switch the cheese to their vegan almond cheese FOR NO EXTRA COST! Unheard of!!!! Needless to say I demolished the whole thing in one sitting and was extremely satisfied. I recommend trying the one with the aguaymento' (south American gooseberry) just divine! Oh and the sangria goes down a treat too"

"Had a marvellous time at Sala de estar in Huaraz. The food is excellent and everything is homemade. We went there three times and tried among others the pizzas, the quinoa salad, the (homemade! pastas as well as the chicken soup and also some deserts. The quality of the food is great and service very friendly. Highly recommend after a long trekking day!"

"There was several vegan option for every dish (3 types of Thai curry, several Indian curries and fajitas) with tofu and veggies. We had the tofu korma which was possibly the best korma I’ve ever had. It was confirmed vegan, made with coconut milk and cashews. We also had the fajitas vegan if you ask without the cheese and sour cream. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend."

"A really great hostel. Zarela is extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very big and comfortable. Everything is clean. There is a cosy, comfortable atmosphere and the Thai food served in the restaurant is really excellent. I would definitely stay again."

"I thought this place was ok...there is a good variety (Indian, Thai, Mexican) and the portions are big, but the tastes were not authentic. But the place has a nice atmosphere and is well located. I thought it was maybe a bit pricey for the quality of the food?"
