"Firstly special thanks.. to everyone who looked after us for the week.. politely open ing up a little earlier... to cure our jetlag with some wonderful coffee. This place had an excellent choice of freshly brewed coffee.. from various parts of the world.. which certainly helped.. get us through our week of training. The reason we keep coming back several times a day was the coffee was superb.. and we had such wonderful service! I'd highly recommend the fresh butter croissants and scones.. As good as any as I have had.."

"I was really hopeful that this restaurant would deliver proper Caribbean food. Unfortunately, the dahl puri was not freshly made but was reheated in the microwave (with hard spots, as happens). The server was not very friendly, which would normally be the case in a Caribbean restaurant where people from different islands come together. The food was mediocre, not bad but certainly not the level of quality expected. This was my second try for Rainbow, after having been there a few years back. But sadly, it will be my last."

"Came in on a whim. Was greeted buy a male waiter. Ordered korma chicken, rice, and aloo gobi. There was 2 others seated and already eating, I waited, waited and waited. The other tables had long finished eating and their dirty plates were still sitting there. I could hear an argument in the back with 2 males which lasted a while. Finally, the male slumped out of the back with a few plates that the one looked like it was a plate of gravy. I looked at it for a moments with hesitation and then took a bite. I plated my rice, with gravy and aloo gobi. There was a few pieces of chicken swimming in the gravy. I plopped those on top of my gravy. Went in to take a bite and the korma was flavourless and the chicken tasted as if it were cooked days ago. I wanted to spit it out but my manors told me better. I looked over to the other tables and there dirty plates were still sitting on the table. People starting to look impatient. Finally, the male waiter came out and grabbed the plates sitting on the tables. He walked past me without asking me if it was good. He went to the back again and argued some more. Finally he came out again and asked me. I told him what I thought. He laughed at me. Then he went again into the back and a few seconds later I could hear someone say “tell them we have Been here for 35 years, unbelievable “. Waiter comes back out and said my dad said we have been here for 35 years. He walked away again. I asked for my bill and left without packing my leftovers. Obviously that was the owner with such a bad attitude. Instead of trying to fix the issue he wouldn’t even talk to me. After I went there I was telling some friends and one was there previously and said the owner sits at the bar with his friends all night and gets up every once in a while to yell at someone to make it look like he’s working, I won’t be going back there ever again."

"We've been to Charcoal Steak House a couple of times in the past few months and recently took friends of ours with us. From starters through to desserts there was not one single unhappy face among us!Collectively for starters we had caesar salad, calamari, and their roasted red pepper soup with goats cheese. Everything packed such a punch in flavour and the complementary fresh bread and hot biscuits beautifully paired with the soup and salad.Every single person at the table had a steak and all were done perfectly. The sauces and sides varied across the table and every one was happy.Dessert was fabulous - my fiance's was treated to a special non-menu item for his birthday, super chocolatey! I had the lemon tart which left such a nice fresh taste, and there was cheesecake and a chocolate bomb which we all tried a little of.On top of their amazing food, their service is wonderful every single time and the atmosphere is just so nice - it feels elegant but in a relaxed way. Just an overall great experience whenever we go."

"This is the lobby resto in the Crowne Plaza and you could be forgiven if your expectations are a bit low. It's not much to look at, and if there's no in-house event, it's a pretty quiet spot.But push past it and dive in. The food is really very good and the kitchen knows its way around the ocean. Lobster bisque is perfect, and the lobster and mango cones are tasty.The beet/squash/goat cheese salad is fresh and lovely, and the seafood flat bread is a perfect small entree. If you are a bit hungrier, the roasted salmon is perfectly cooked.Service is friendly and quick."
