"I really didn’t care for the place or the food. We were seated in a small outside area when there were countless empty tables inside. My drink didn’t seem to have any alcohol. My food was flavorless seemed to come straight from the can. They charged a five dollar valet fee when they parked my car a few feet from the door. Our waiter was nice that’s the only positive. I won’t be back"

"Amazing pasta. The chopped salad is just shy of being a smoothie, very wet and baby food like texture. Our pasta was awesome though and we'll be back."

"Total: 3.8/5 Dine in Half Dozen Oysters $20 : I didn't eat anything because it looked very wet slim. My husband said he'd be better so you can skip the oysters here. Smoked Lambband 4 for $19.25 : Lamb is really hard to cook. Unfortunately Charcoal was not as good as we hoped. The flavors were okay and didn't hide the lamb well. Another court to skip. Grill $8: We have the thick bacon in the hope that it will be more just than the thin bacon. We have two burned bacon pieces that were overcooked and hard. Such a waste of money. DineLA Lunch $35 : The real reason we're here. Charcoal Crab Benedict: I chased the egg Benedict and this place had a black Hollandaise sauce so I had to try. They do not really taste the coal, so it is usually for looks. The crab was really fresh, so eat it immediately and don't let it cold. Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuit: Wow, that's much better than KFC's cookies! The cookie is warm, fresh, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. It melts as soon as it meets the mouth and can be eaten alone or with some butter. Pepper honey glaze threw me a little, but it works to give you a nice subtle taste. Smokey grilled chicken wings: That came with 2 wings. They were dry and kind of tasteless. The Oregano, Chili, Essigjinade did not come through, but you get something from the Smokiness. Midnight Margarita $16 : This was beautifully presented. She came in black with a black salt rim. The tequila-based drink was really good, but funny enough, it didn't drink me. Smoke Fire $16 : This is Mescal based. It was also quite good and as strong as the midnight margarita. There was no strong kick from the chili. Kitchen occupancy 2.5% : Interesting that they add this, but note that you can remove it on request. But really you will find it risk to remove like a cheapo? Pretty smart move to me. Overall, Charcoal delivers to its foods/drinks during the incorporation of coal, but fails when cooking on coal."
