"We stayed at this hotel (Plaza) for 1 night and we had driven all day to get to Kamloops so sure didn't feel like driving again for a place to eat dinner. I had the tenderloin and my husband had the pork chop dinner. Both were excellent. Our server Carolyn recommended a BC VQA wine and it was lovely. The hotel had given us a coupon for a free dessert and the bread pudding was the only disappointment - while the portion was huge, it was slightly on the dry side and too sweet. Prices are standard for the meals ordered ($38 for 9oz tenderloin/$24 for pork chop - both with came BC fresh vegetables & several potato choices. Warm brioche to start was welcome."

"If you want an amazing lunch in a cozy place In front of the fireplace this is it. Try the Darryl's potato a baked potato with pulled pork and coleslaw, you will not be disappointed. All of the food is wonderful and they make their own sauces and dressings. Glad this is just down the street from my house. ❤❤"

"Sunday brunch. Restaurant appearance was fine and staff were friendly. Food looked OK. That's where it ended for me. Everything tastes terrible. The seafood chowder tasted like tuna mixed with old milk. The mac and cheese tastes like flour (I don't think there was any cheese in it. Or salt for that matter). The eggs benny were just overall horrible. The macaroni salad was warm. The dill carrots were weird and old tasting. I'd be surprised if the BBQ chicken was adequately cooked through.The best thing on the menu was easily the fountain root beer. Everything else was horrible. What is going on in their kitchen?Seriously, skip this plaxe"

"Use to come here all the time. But over the past years the service just sucks. The waitresses just stand at the bar looking at magazines and talk to I assume is the manager who always sits at the end of the bar distracting the waitresses. We came in tonight and waited 20 min before the youngest of the 3 gals working finally decided to shuffle over. She didn't even ask what we wanted to drink. Just took our order. Only came back to give us our food and bill. They need to step it up. The service is rude and slow and the food feels more and more like Denny's style cookie cutter food. Time go to scotts hotel instead better food. Better prices and way better service."
