"We originally wanted to go to the no 1 rated lobster supper in baddeck but there was an hour waiting list....we found this charming Inn and pulled in....a great decision! The food, service, and ambience were perfect...live music was quite pleasant to dine to...a wonderful dinner. highly recommend!"

"Did some research to find a place open on the Cabot trail found this place and we were so excited until we pulled up and saw that it is closed, doesn't look like it's regularly open at all (10am on a Tuesday in October)."

"Very long wait times, I’m understanding of course with COVID protocols, but be upfront told us 20 minutes over the phone and waited an hour. Beef and broccoli, good minimal beef, sweet and sour chicken was an absolute NO as they’re spiced with cinnamon? Very odd to me. Rice was good but dry and egg roll wasn’t great. Will not be back"

"We had an enjoyable breakfast at the restaurant in early summer. Some kinks needed to be worked out for social distancing but sure they are in place now. Good service! Great French toast!! Want to come back to try the dogs!!"

"Roadside signs say restaurant opens at 4pm but no closing time is specified When we arrived the sign on the door said OPEN We went in but were refused service after the waitress checked with the the kitchen staff who declared the kitchen closed at 8pm My phone clock said it was 8:01 so we entered on or before 8pm So much for Canadian hospitality"

"The McCurdy's dining room is located at the Silver Dart Lodge. Very convenient if staying there. Enjoyed a light dinner that was very good."

"In an area where vegan options (only vegan restaurants) are few and far between (during our travel here, one day we had to go to breakfast in the subway and lunch in the co-op,) highwheeler caffe was a breath of fresh air. we stopped there, hoping for coffee and toast and discovered freshly baked vegan scenarios, a few delicious vegan slices (the magical place is to die for) a vegan quinoa roll, and one or two lunch elements that can be veganized. everything is fresh and made on the premise, plant milk are available, the owners are friendly and accommodating. if they drive or drive the cabot trail, or part of it to foot, and they are plant-fueled, this is a place to put in their satnav."
