"Seating area located next to/inside the vibrant Goods Shed market. Service was fairly friendly and attentive, but very slow! They reassured us that everything was alright and the kitchen was running fine but it still took a considerable amount of time to get our mains. I had the carrots and cucumber with anchovy mayo to start wouldn't recommend. As nice and fresh as it all was, nowhere on the menu did it say it would be raw and just assembled. The mayo was also quite weak, especially for an anchovy mayo. For the main, I had the lamb sorry I can't remember what came with it, but it was very tasty would recommend. Pricepoint is leaning towards overpriced, some items are better value than others. Overall experience was quite good, except for the speed."

"This place was once one of the best resturants in canterbury and would like to wish the owners and former employees every success in everything they do in future. eating and service were always fantastic. many thanks for eating here several times, especially with how expert they are for large groups. a few unlimited customers apparently placed wrong bookings without checking or calling after the owners were forced to come near; in my opinion, these unfair assessments are not a reflection on what was a wonderful restorer."

"I had a good, hearty vegetable tagine. This seemed very much like the meat tagine my wife had, but without the meat. That might just sound like stating the obvious, but maybe a few extra veg? The mixed starters with bread were interesting, and probably my favourite part of the meal. The coffee was *extremely* weak. Apologies to Moroccan coffee sensibilities if this is a cultural thing, but it wasn’t to my taste. It was certainly galactic-class orders of magnitude weaker than the Turkish style coffee I was expecting. But the cinnamon was an interesting touch, so it’s really a shame about the lack of coffee oompf. Overall the ambience of the place was pleasant, if a little faded. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Prices seemed a tad on the steep side, but maybe I just don’t get out enough these days. Like I said, it’s been a tough couple of years…"

"The potato house was a great place for a meal! The staff was super friendly and helpful and the food was really delicious. The large selection of potato dishes, which were all very well prepared, is particularly noteworthy. The portions were generous and the price-performance ratio was excellent. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back!"
