"Everything we ordered was cooked fresh but the portions are terrible. Lady that boxed our food seemed like she was in a daze. She could barely fix our drinks that she forgot about. Leave, open the boxes and they are kid portion fries and they didn’t give us our other side. When we go back and present the manager our meals she says that’s correct. She hesitated to even give us our other side that we paid for."

"Always great service, and several of their selections are so good! Portions are always good, too. In particular, their herb roasted chicken and catfish entrees are always delicious. I also love the broccoli salad and the sweet potatoes! White chocolate bread pudding AMAZING. On the other hand, only four stars because I haven't been a fan of the meatloaf or the mac and cheese. Both tasted rather plain."

"We've celebrated our Anniversary every year at the Purple Parrot and by far it's the most romantic and quiet place in the Burg. Love it and they always fulfill my special requests They had a glass of my wife's wine and my Sazerac waiting on me with a little table banner with our names and happy anniversary with a rose and after our meal had a desert for us with Happy Anniversary written in icing around the plate......We'll always go there for Valentines day and/or our Anniversary...Thanks so very much and Highly Highly recommend!! -Chris"

"Hands down one of the best restaurants I?ve ever been to. I?ve been 3 times now and the food is absolutely amazing. You could probably pick anything on the menu and not go wrong. The service has been top notch as well. I should also mention the atmosphere because it is really great. It has an authentic Cajun New Orleans feel that combined with the food and service makes it a home run every time."

"Today was the first time I have ever visited Newks.it is conveniently located, competitively priced, and very clean. Before entering the establishment the smell of the grilled chicken and the veggies sizzling reached out and put my nose in a full Nelson and lured me inside. Once inside the euphonius music overhead was at the perfect volume. It wasn't too loud as to drown out my company and it wasn't quite enough to make the lunch talk pauses awkward. We all got to the counter and ordered the food from a menu that was strategically placed, out of the way, to where you don't have people standing in from and you having to get a crook in your neck from trying to read it. The lady up front took our order and we paid. By the time we got our drinks and sat down Kaylee was out with our food. She realized the one sandwich was wrong and offered to take it back. The person in our company decided he would eat it. And he LOVED it. That was a good mistake. He may have never ordered it, but thanks to the mess up he did. Regardless Kaylee came back just to make sure that he was ok with it. She would have taken it back. It was very gracious of her since they were packed. That's what I call customer service. Always looking out for the customer. My food was amazing. I have never had a pasta salad with so many different vegetables in it! I look forward to the next time I return. Overall I would recommend.
