"Design your own poke bowl or just choose one off the menu! 'Nuff said.Here 's the secret, go in to the store. You can 't get a true sense of what you 're putting in there until you see it live and in person.Aside from the fresh ingredients, there are wildly different sauces to choose from and deciding without tasting is a no-no. I always do the sriracha and wasabi aiolis, and occasionally I 'll add the ginger or ponzu.As a seafood lover, I start with the Duke as my base and then I go bonkers with the ingredients. For the protein, I recommend the spicy versions of the salmon and tuna. I 'm a fan of textures, so I like to add edemame, crispy onion, and wonton chips.The rice is the obvious base, especially the sushi rice, but I 'll do the salad once in a while and the flavors from the fish are strong enough that you don 't really need to add extra (but please do if you 're so inclined)!If not for the large portions I usually get, as well as opting for rice more often, this would be a really healthy place to eat. That said even with the rice this is better than the fried fast food down the street.Give it a shot and if you 're nervous about raw fish, go with chicken!"

"Steak tacos were very fatty. Rice and beans had no flavor at all, it was very odd. The chips were drenched in grease, could not even eat them. The brown bag that the chips came in looked like it was dipped in a pot of oil."

"First of all may I say, the Butcher on the block has been a great asset for our community, because they are very quick to aid in any fundraising benefits you are having. But besides that their meat cuts are amazing easy to get carried away in buying food there take the time if you never have to go to Butcher on the Block and give them a try, you will not be disappointed."
