"I reserved a table for eight near the window with a view of the Fraser River and was careful to explain we were bringing guests from out of town. When we arrived we had been put in two tables in a long row with seating...on only one side, making conversation impossible. Instead of apologizing the host put it down to miscommunication. We went elsewhere and won't be back. Sadly I can't comment on the food or service since we never got to try it. Grrrrr...."

"Over priced crap. The special sported 6 olives and a rat turd. Not the pizza it used to be. There really is no family style pizza place in New Westminster. Not really Greek. Malakis!"

"When ever I go to a IHOP it's always amazing. This one was great and had fast service because we were some of the only people in there. I wish they didn't take off the berries and cream waffle."

"Have you got IT?And by “IT”, I mean an IT Char Burger? If you’ve never heard of an IT Char Burger before, it’s probably because you can only find it at a tiny hole-in-the-wall burger/cafe/Indian/Asian food outlet in a nondescript mini mall located in New Westminster. The next time you’re around Royal Square Mall on McBride and Eight Ave, head into the little shopping mall and grab a burger from IT Char.Their signature IT Char Burger with Fries comes in for under $10 with fries. I added a side of gravy and have to admit that it was pretty awesome. The burger comes with two chargrilled patties topped with caramelized onions, bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Everything is made to order and the fries had the perfect balance of crispy exterior and soft interior that paired perfectly with the thick, rich gravy.Yup, it doesn’t get much better than this. There’s not really a food court in this mini mall… but they do have some tables that you can sit at to enjoy your meal. This place also serves up western-style breakfast options, butter chicken, as well as some Asian dishes… but I always come back for their burgers.I finally decided one day to try one of their other burgers… the Double Spicy BBQ with fries and drink for under $10. It’s fairly similar to the IT Char Burger in that it comes with caramelized onions and double patties. Where it departs is that it’s topped with thick-cut jalapeño slices as well as a sweet bbq sauce.This time around, I didn’t order the side of gravy and I was kicking myself because it really sends the fries over the top.The jalapeño slices didn’t actually give this burger much heat but the burger was quite messy to eat with the mix of sweet caramelized onions and bbq sauce.IT Char makes a heck of a burger… make sure you check them out if you’re in the area."

"I just stopped in at the Oakridge mall food court because I was starving. Craving some Chinese food because it's helps hangovers. Just sayin. Anyways, there's usually one pick your own items with rice or noodles type Chinese food places in the mall, and this was it. The display looked descent, fresh looking, clean etc. I picked the fried rice, lemon chicken and brisket in curry. I'm not a picky eater. I usually eat everything and appreciate it. But this stuff was pretty bad. The rice was bland, the brisket was mostly fat, and the deep fried lemon chicken was mostly batter. There were lineups for every place but here. I should have taken the hint. I'm guessing the regulars know this place isn't very good. I'm surprised since this mall is very Asian. I'll bet this will be the next shop to shut down in this food court."

"With a large variety and 3 serving sizes, you'll find something you like. The dishes are well prepared and tasty. The only negative side is that they put too much rice (or noodles) for the amount of meat."
