"We visited last night for dinner with our friends. Firstly, the inside of the pub has a wonderful old school feel to it that is rare nowadays. Nice open fire going and great atmosphere. For food, we had a sharing platter between four of us...then for main we had the feather blade steak, duck and pork belly. All absolutely fantastic. The service throughout was superb and the wine was well priced. We left at 11 after three hours well fed and well oiled and the bill was more than reasonable for what we had. Really impressed. My only criticism would be the desert. We all had the Black Forest Eton mess and there was far too much cream and little else. It’s a shame as we all said if this was as good as the starter and main it would be up there with the best meals we have ever had. All in all, bravo to the church inn. Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful food and top level service."

"Very poor customer service also not well managed !!!! The main issue was I had my wedding there which the food was good but the staffs were so rude ...also me as BRIDE had asked one of staff keep my food and they did not. so hopefully in near future, if there was any improvement in their customer service I might reconsider my feedback."
