"This is a small restaurant in Elvas (in old town, inside the walls) but that could be in Lisbon. And, althought the restaurant's symbol may make you think that it will have a modern feel inside, it is deceiving. The tables and chairs are made of wood, most of them refurbished from old furniture inherited from your grandparents. From the speakers you listen to fado, both modern and traditional.The owners are super friendly and available to guide you and help you through the menu. So so, that we were offered a entree when we ordered the food and a local sweet wine to finish it off.The menu has 2 parts: one with smaller portions we call 'petiscos' and the second one with dishes. Every day there are 2 additional dishes (on the day we visited golden cod was one of it. Golden cod is the name they give to 'Bacalhau à Brás' in Alentejo. Because we really like that dish, we ordered it and a similar one with prawns instead of cod. Both were really good and served in generous portions. If you aren't able to finish the dish you can take the remains on a doggy bag.It was a nice surprise to find this place that combines tradicional and modern and offers an excellent service to top it off."
