"It has delivered it's promises. Food tastes really good but don't expect much from services. When you plan to come here to eat, make sure you have a lot of time. We had to wait a bit in between dishes."

"We went on a weekday and there was a line up, so we waited. The manager there gave the next table to the group that they know. It happened for two tables in a row when we were here first with a reservation. There are choices in their menu but the rice roll tasted HORRIBLE. The skinny manager has absolutely no manners. Other than the rice roll, majority of the food was okay."

"Recently dined in a couple of highly rated restaurants in Vancouver --- including TripAdvisor's current #1. However the surprise winner was the unpretentious Ho Yuen Kee.Large fresh-from-the-tank lobster cooked to perfection on top of a hefty serving of sticky rice saturated by the drippings of the succulent crustacean. Couldn't get any better than that. We ordered 3 other dishes, 2 were standouts, but the lobster dish is really worth writing home about. Writing this makes me want to go back pronto --- alas, it's 13 hours flight away!Waitress Cherry was efficient. Price was reasonable. Place needs a bit of scrubbing."

"Had an absolutely fascinating Chinese barbecue dinner in Yu Kee. Although service is by no means good, the top-notch food overcomes the place's shortcomings. The Cantonese style barbecues pork belly is crispy, tender and succulent. The taste is authentic and truly Hong Kong. The fried thick rice noodles with beef is also tasty. Price is very reasonable. Despite of its location, Yu Kee definitely worth a try."

"This is one of the original Hong Kong style cafes in Vancouver. It's family run and the recipes probably haven't changed for decades. It's honest Cantonese greasy spoon fare. Their Hong Kong style curry beef brisket is a must try."

"I didn’t really care for this soup because it tasted a bit bland to me and the meat in it was a bit tough. Chef’s Secret Recipe Jumbo Crab. I really enjoyed the secret sauce used for the crab which had hints of garlic, chili, green onions. The crab was messy to eat, but tasted fresh and good. Lobster in Supreme Soy Sauce"
