"Wow, wow, wow is all I can say for this place. it is honestly a vegan paradise! I could eat here all day and never get bored! I had a falafel salat and bretzel vegan ice, both were amazing. I have to go back!"

"Had a quick dinner and a beer before a concert. Clean and tidy. Nice staff. Food as good and filling. Licenced and 5 minutes from Brisbane entertainment centre with heaps of parking. Only downside was there are heaps of things like cheese / sour cream etc that they charge extra for so that pushes the price up but you can opt for the basic version of the meals and they still looked good!! Recommended for a food stop before concerts. Would go again."

"Disgusting staff members looking greasy and rude. Our food was under cooked and cold. No staff member wanted to talk to us as I approached counter to get a new order and they refused to give a refund or money back. See a group of people coming in I’m assuming they were family as hugs were exchanged. They all sat down food and drinks were flowing out of the kitchen. These people didn’t even look at the menu or ask for anything. They will look after their friend or family but not paying customers. Oh I added the wings I got that looks like something out of a babies nappy. Disgusting and not cooked!!!"

"One of my favorite Brisbane Restaurants. Been going since I was a baby. Amazing service and great home style meals at a fair price. I think the neg reviews must be from competing businesses. It's a must. Love it, especially the closed pizzas."

"Before I launch into my impressions of El Aguila, I should confess upfront I am not a fan of Mexican. We were there on a Friday night to celebrate a friend's birthday, and it was her choice of venue. I suffer an almost pathological hatred of beans done any way, dislike beef mince, and am not a fan of tacos or corn chips. So there was little on the menu to impress. The upside of El Aguila is its ordering system and its staff. You're given mini iPads and can order when you're ready, and the dish is brought out by friendly staff in fairly short order. Also, it's BYO, which cuts down on costs if you want to have a couple of drinks. If only the food was better! Looking at the menu, it seemed all the food was fried, refriend, literally smothered in cheese or a creamy mild kind of mayo. People hoping to get a chilli hit should choose another venue. Not being a Mexican aficionado, I ordered the fried calamari for entree. While not terribly flavoursome, I have had worse, and the creamy Mayo which went with it was pleasant enough, if unremarkable. For main I chose Chicken Santa Fe. Described as a grilled duck breast, any health benefits of the grilling were lost as it was smothered in a fairly flavourless but inoffensive creamy sauce which probably contained more calories than I normally eat in a full day. It included a strange mix of capsicum, corn, black beans and a few of the dreaded red beans scattered through which weren't mentioned in the menu. This was then smothered in cheese and came with rice on the side. Didn't seem very Mexican, and was as far from spicy and fresh as you could get. I counted about three weeny diced cubes of tomato in the so called salad side. I ordered it hot, but maybe the chef thought I meant super-mild. The bottles of green chilli on the table may as well have been water for all the spice they contained. I tried the same sauce at a Mexican place in the city (Chignon) last month (again, not my choice) and one drop was so hot, a mouthful of food required a frozen margarita chaser. Not the case here. The bottles looked the same, but the contents could have come from a different planet. On the upside, the staff are friendly, attentive and helpful, it's easy to split the bill at the end, and being BYO helps keep the price down.If they could improve their food offering it could be a good venue."
