"I regularly visit Benito's Hat for lunch and after work dinner on occasion. The Burritos and cocktails are consistently excellent and the staff are extremely helpful even when really busy or understaffed. One downside is that the Tacos can be a little disappointing as they seem to skimp on ingredients if you order 3 (I give them the benefit of the doubt as it's likely just to get them to fit into the cardboard container or bowl rather than an actual policy) it doesn't happen if you order 2 or if you order 4 and certainly hasn't stopped me from visiting."

"Was sat at a table where the closed french windows to the garden were behind me there was a draft and the room was cold. When trying to order a main course the waiter kept telling me everything would take over half an hour to cook. I think this was to get me to order a starter. But I wanted to order a main a dessert. Finally I chose the lamb chops. One was very pink, the other 2 over cooked. All were tough! When taking the dessert order the waitress didn’t know the difference between an ice cream ‘ a sorbet! She had to call over a waiter to answer the question. Service was very slow. I’ve eaten here many times and it has always been good. In fact I wrote a review only a month ago saying how superb this restaurant was. This visit was very disappointing."

"For a newly reopened offering, the New Rose has what it takes to succeed and with the New Year refurbishment should be highly competitive on the Islington scene. A good range of beers and drinks is augmented by excellent food, both main and snacks. Friendly staff even the door person is part of customer Service keep the atmosphere buzzing. A great destination."

"Ratio decidendi: so much love for this place. I still need to be disappointed by something. it is the hands down the best round brunch place in london and would easily hold against some of the best brunch spots in Australia (aka the home of brunch). obiter dicta: target approx. 15-20 minutes before opening. it may sound a bit above the tip, but that wait is worth it and will be much shorter than when they rock on after opening."
