"First time here was a really good experience! tried the RED espressos (made from roiboos tea) as i was trying to wean myself off my caffeine dependency, and they were delicious. the vegan chocolate cake was extremely good too, moist, not too sweet, and has slight hints of rosewater which made it really interesting."

"We went on a Tuesday night with a Scoopon voucher. Ajrak would have got a 0 from us, but it deserves 0.5 star for the variety of dishes, and 0.5 star for the complimentary bottled mineral water on every table (from Coles, but I suspect it may have been a refilled bottle, top appeared to be loose....).<br>
Everything else, sadly, was pretty dismal. The young guy who greeted us (manager? waiter?) was friendly, and was keen to get our feedback when we left, but his clothes were food-stained, not a good look.<br>
Plenty of seating, but only one other table with 3 diners while we were there, and 1 table laden with dirty dishes when we arrived, and still laden with dirty dishes when we left (??!!). The 2 staff appeared to spend the whole time chatting out the back, oblivious to the table which desperately needed its food scraps whisked away.<br>
The food? Huge variety, most of it semi-congealed or virtually desiccated from obviously quite some time languishing in the bain-marie...

"This is what I call a 'treasure place ' Family owned café, we were served by the owner herself, on essex street! Decor was beautiful- little eccentric with well thought details which is always better- and she told us a little bit about the building 's history.<br/>We took two flat whites, oh my very good, then we split a homemade veggie pastry and a veggie frittata! Savory and delicious. <br/>We loved the cozy feeling- you could hear the dishes cling, people chattering and the staff laughing"

"Came in for a quick beer and meal. Friend had the steak sandwich and I just had a small bowl of veggies. Food was lush, every smell from the kitchen had us drooling. <br>
Beer wasn't cheap however and was $12 for a 330ml mango beer. Next time I'll look more closely ???? atmosphere was great and really nice decor! Will deffo come back for a pizza!"

"I expected the place to be crazy busy, and while it was relatively full, there seemed to be a place for everyone. There was just one guy doing the coffee making and serving, so he was super busy, but he was also very nice and seemed to get through everything at a steady pace. I got a 4 pack of donuts for $14 because I really wanted to try the White Choc Oreo, and they were sold out of the individual ones (though had plenty of Salted Caramel and some Choc Mint left). The food in the cabinet looked really good, especially the big danishes. The coffee is decently priced. And they allow dogs in their outside area, which always makes me happy."

"Loved the coffee and decor. It doesn't have a large seating area so would advise to get in early. We shared the chicken and pork bagel and it was decent."
