"From the almost hidden alley-way, leading down into the belly of an industrial quarter, the over the top, eclectic neon lighting, signs, posters and paraphernalia, the super friendly bar and table service, to the very, very tasty food, this place is a must visit. It is a hidden gem that, by the time I’d left my very early meal, was starting to attract diners. I ordered the Spartan Burger and a side of fries. The fries were salty, crisp and with a soft inner. Excellent chips. The burger, was large, perfectly layered with very fresh ingredients and the sauces were excellent. What was impressive with the burger was the way each element was distinguishable, and had its own crunch of freshness. That’s impressive. Also impressive was the service. The ladies and gents were very friendly and helpful. I observed a young lady helping a Dad and his two young sons run through the menu upon their arrival. She not only addressed the Dad, but gave equal, if not more time talking directing to the boys, explaining the menu to the little ones. That is first class service. I’ll be back to Fat Bob’s on more occasions than just another visit."

"Cute little cafe serving up good coffee with good service! We had brunch here the other day. There’s nothing fancy about the food however it’s all delicious and definitely hits the spot for weekend brunch! We will be back : <br/ <br/ On a side note I have to agree with previous reviews, they really need to sort out the height of the tables or the bench. Right now the bench height is uncomfortably high for the table making it pretty awkward/impossible to sit with your legs under the table."

"I am growing fond of this unpretentious cafe that makes excellent coffee. In a strip abounding in hip cafes it can hold its head high! Good jaffles and sandwiches also."

"A small family run Indonesian restaurant in Camberwell, this one surprised us with an extensive menu.Traditional Balinese cuisine, with a good selection of vegetarian options in entrée and mains. The service was great, husband and wife team, cheerful and helpful. We ordered 4 entrées to share for 6 and 2 main dishes. The portions were quite generous and we did not feel hungry. The dessert options were pretty good as well, ordering 5 desserts to share, the portions were adequate.Positives: Good sized portions, food arrived fresh and piping hot.The descriptions were pretty good and proprietor helpful in making choices.Stand out dishes were the gado gado and sayur urap. The janganan bali was pretty good as well. The pancake & ice cream dessert was very different.Negatives: small restaurant with a take-away joint like vibe. While the restaurant is a BYO, only coke/lemonade was available, which was quite disappointing. The spice levels were quite low, we asked them to give us some red chillies to add to the dishes, surprisingly the spiciest item was the dessert rujak manis with a red chilly dressing! The Balinese couple who run the place were very charming and as we were the only patrons at the place, the wife came out to chat with us. We'll be back again!"

"A true case of you get what you pay for. We ordered the $6 special - small schnitzel, peas, gravy and either chips or mash. The schnitzel was inedible - gristly and pink. When I took it back I was told that they had checked the temperature and it was cooked. I'm not a chef but it looked disgusting to me. When I was told it was fine and I said we wouldn't be eating it, the response was a shrug. Are the mash - it was okay. The kids' had chips instead and they were like cardboard. Gravy had no flavor. Swedish apple cake was cold and mushy - underwhelming. The kids' liked the favored water. Will definitely not eat here again."

"II have now been to this restaurant/café three times, Hot chocolate, leaves a lot to be desired. First time the chocolate was warm enough that I drank it in a couple of minutes. Second time was last week 10th Jan 2017 I asked for a hot chocolate not a luke warm one and definitely not with an over sized choc button on top putting 100's and 1000's into my drink. (Kid's stuff). Meal was fine, eggs quite undercooked. Went there again on Monday as my 5 year old grandson wanted waffles. Sadly there weren't any waffles, nor pancakes that were listed on the menu. Pancakes seemingly have been replaced by waffles, yet they are still on the menu in the kids section. This visit I asked for extra hot, "hot chocolate" and again it was warm. I only went back there as I was without a car and it was in walking distance of where I was babysitting.Décor of the restaurant is really very pleasant, music too loud though, it was turned down as I couldn't here the question that the waiter asked me."
