"I've avoided The Larder for years despite living two minutes away mostly due to it being like a creche. However, a friend said he had a great breakfast so we thought we'd give it a go. Well it's still like a creche so not a relaxing environment by any means but the food was lovely. We both had a breakfast bowl and the flavours and quality of food was impressive. I particularly liked the combination of the feta with beans and spinach but both our meals were sadly let down by a very over cooked fried egg and overall the food could have been hotter. Whilst we won't rush back as it was really noisy I was pleasantly surprised by the food choices and would recommend the breakfast if only they could learn to cook an egg."

"Due to the virus, the owners have closed all the Sri Lankan Tamil food part of the restaurant until 2021. They are continuing to run it as a Pizza restaurant in the meantime. So do not turn up expecting your tasty Dosas!"

"Best Amritsari Kulche and Cholley i ate in London so far period. That said, one or two other mithai we ordered were not nice, with a super strong smell of milk and sick sweet."

"This is probably the best lounge in Ilford !! Astonishing beautiful with great atmosphere and vibe , the deco is understated and classy not your usual trashy lounge deco. Its great as its a great restaurant too serving Indian street food but in a more classy fashion with gorgeous crockery! We had the papri chaat , highly recommend with gol gappey. Keema naan was also delicious, wraps too were good ! Best of all was the milk cake just AMAZING. Served with a cute jar of condensed milk ... the best milk cake i have had soo far. Shisha was great , coal changes and shisha service was brilliant didnt have to ask they were regularly changing them and the staff were especially friendly and talkative (not in a creepy way though . Shisha flavours were slightly limited, but not really an issue as they have the most popular ones. Just one thing tell customers its CASH only before you seat them or have clear notices so customers know. We just about scraped the cash together , in covid times its cards everywhere! Need to invest in that card machine ... :"
