"I used to like the above song (as a reference to this restaurant) until Jamie Oliver ruined it in his advert! Anyone, I digress this is an independent review based my my experience today ordering from Moonlight in South Road, Crosby. I drive along South Road quite a lot, and have always noticed this place as there aren’t a lot of decent dessert shops within my locale. I didn’t actually realise that they did burgers and other similar savoury food choices. My son also noticed it a little while ago when we went for food at a nearby restaurant. Before going there to order, I did consult tripadvisor and was slightly concerned at the amount of negative reviews but remained undeterred as I wanted to give it a go. I must say that my experience does not reflect the several poor reviews posted on this site. I understand a few stem from long waiting times for delivery but that is not always the fault of the restaurant. Luckily, it is close enough for me to drive there myself to order a takeaway. Online pictures suggest the option to eat in although that may be another branch elsewhere it is take out or delivery only. In terms of the food, we all really enjoyed it. I purchased 2 milkshakes for the boys (Nutella brownie and lotus biscoff flavour), chicken popcorny loaded fries, buffalo dippers loaded fries and a Starship Burger essentially a bacon double cheeseburger. The boys gobbled up the fries and their milkshakes, who gave a big thumbs up. Mine was the burger and it was really nice. It’s done in a similar way to Five Guys I’d say as good as if not better than the latter but less expensive. Although not the cheapest, I’d say the prices are reasonable for what you get. I would have said McDonald’s is cheaper but they have also increased their prices lately so Moonlight is definitely a decent alternative. I went at around 4.30 5pm and the service was very good no issues over waiting time either. We’ll definitely be ordering again."

"Had a lovely meal with my friend at Nostalgia on Lord St. yesterday plus the staff are so friendly and helpful. We are very sad to hear that on the 30hth of this month the owners are retiring and Nostalgia will close. We wish them all the best in their retirement and will miss such a lovely place for a meal ."

"That's the most hygienic caffe I've ever been. all the cakes are on the display and on the counter where ordering and payments are made, so they are exposed to customers coughing, even sneezing over the cake. the droplet infection should be at any time a caretaker. I was given a drink with a glass bottle in a drink glass. I hate to think where the bottle stood before it was put in the glass. tables are not cleaned with an antibacterial spray."

"A fantastic night a simple meal as part of a birthday party; it could not have been improved! I don't exaggerate when I said this was the best burger I had this side of the pond. I could spend quite a lot of time describing an excellent eating, but this is a bit like to describe music or fine wein. the best thing I can say is if they like a good burger, go and try the place I was impressed, and I will always return to cover the pretty impressive menu. if you want, could we compare notes?"

"We went as my son wanted a waffle we ended up having one between us also and a latte. Lovely staff, really friendly and the waffles were just the best! My wife thought the latte was much better than Costa and although the interior doesn’t feel finished I’d go back without a doubt. This is where product and service make the difference and you just need to try this place as it’s just the best!!"
