"We love soup and salad for lunch and this small place was incredible! Wonderful selections and the crusty bread/butter accompaniment was delicious! We had tomato basil soup and chicken chili and shared a vegan salad bowl of goodness! Great place to stop for lunch with friendly staff!"

"Very friendly service and delicious food. Lasagne is definitely our top recommendation. Tiramisu, pizza, fried Brie and calamari were also great. Definitely a must for Italian food in Edinburgh!"

"What a cute and charming place! We got here right at 11am and only had to wait about 15 minutes. Not that many tables here but they turn them over quickly. Tea was great, and my scone was probably the best I've ever had. Definitely worth the hype"

"We saw today speee with the hopping on the bus. enjoy a few hours in the castle and then in the restaurant as we wanted an Italian restaurant. beautiful place bang on the main road. we went about 15 o'clock to late lunch and very few tables were occupied. the staff was very nice and friendly. we ordered a few softdrinks and a minenstrone suppe, focaccia and ratatouille for starter and a veg pizza and pasta for the main course. all items as expected. beautiful taste and presentation. will be happy to return."

"Excellent food, great service, value for money. we fall off: spinach ravioli excellent veg pizza with cheese, tomato, mushrooms, artichokes and olive goat cheese, rakete leaves and balsames dressing house sepciality red wine prossseco bier our waiter was very considerate that we are vegetarian and managed to suggest dishes for us outside their regular menu."

"Food and service were both excellent! we had the minene and butternut syrups, tomato-Focaccia and the rigatoni alla norma. all were freshly tasted and clear homemade. michael and samuel (our waiter) were both charming and attentive and have added our culinary experience to our definitiw. they even divided the pasta into two dishes for us, as we have in common what we have really appreciated! the only disappointing part was the desserts (tiramisu and cheesecakes) who do not live until the rest of the meal. overall the meal was but delicious and we will definitely be back!"
