"Met up with long time friends from Edmonton and decided to go Italian tonight, sometimes fate happens and everything just fall into place, this was one of those nights.We just rocked up on the off chance they had room, we were made extremely welcome and escorted to our table by Sam.Restaurant had great mood lighting, ambiance was spot on and decor was first class.Initially I was a little disappointed as the was no garlic bread/brochettes/bread with oil and balsamic on the menu, my fears were soon allayed as the bread arrived with oil and balsamic and complimentary to boot, that's 10 bonus points in my books.Lyn started with Zesty Caeser (salad) main was Seafood Linguini and desert Chocolate Torte.I started with Minestrone Soup, main was Risotto with Porcini Mushrooms and desert Creme Brûlée.All our meals were a good size, fresh, hot and well plated up, our waiter Sam was a jovial character and made us feel right at home, wine list was extensive and the bar was well stocked.We left Francesco's with a full belly and fond memories shared with life long friends.Not to be missed."

"Recommended to us by our hotel front desk. It was not in any of the travel literature so I was a little skeptical, but it turned out to be very good pizza. Not the best I have ever ate, but pretty good if you have a craving for pizza."

"The best sandwiches I've ever had!!! When I was taking this photo my boyfriend had already eaten his other slice. The lentil soup is so comforting as well. The owners are lovely and the atmosphere is so cozy. What a gem we stumbled upon! We will be back!"

"Maybe it's a bonus for being surprised, who'd expect this terrific pulled pork? It's gone through a major reno compared to my last visit a few years ago, though the inside looks fabulous now with booth seating, a TV, & possibility of my next place to kill between meetings, the outside still looks like a deli. Especially with that sandwich board, screaming its daily special.The meat is really moist & tender, though if you're hungry, you'll need two of these puppies. Bread also is very fresh, apparently owner proud to say that nothing is made the night before or defrosted. I trust him & the food shows.Deleesh vegs/coleslaw gave a nice crunch texture. Loved the wrap-style as made eating this easier while driving.Easy repeat.Accepting AMEX really pushed it ;)"

"My first night and first meal in Vancouver. We all enjoyed our meals 2 pizzas and 3 pasta dishes. Our deserts chocolate cake and cheesecake were not bad. The ladies had wine and the gents had beer. Service friendly and efficiant. Price reasonable. Piano player at the back made it feel like a night out."

"If you want to experience authentic Italian food this is the place I would recommend. A mix of Italian American ambience very suggestive and friendly service staff, the best was all the servers know their menu and recommendations were amazing. I am an Indian vegetarian and most of the times it?s hard to find vegetarian food with different ethnicities cuisine to try but I was amazed when I saw a good variety of options for myself. ? It was fine dine at affordable prices. The fresh sourdough bread with fresh whipped white butter and that hint of garlic in it was to die for. Truly enjoyed this experience. Planning to come back soon with all my friends. ?"

"We've been coming here for many years, and it is as consistent as the first time we went, probably 25 years ago. Good caesar salads, great pastas, great veal Milanese, nice fish, and a very good wine list (not crazy expensive, just good choices). The service is also excellent. Owner Paulo and his sons and some longtime veteran waiters make you feel at home and comfortable at all times."

"Really great atmosphere here. The food was good. Had the mussels appetizer, Bruschetta, Butternut soup, salmon for dinner. Best service from Annaka. Not sure it would have been a five stars without their attention to detail. Good night out there. Great location."
