"Their mix of great food (hot and cold) and coffees, I always know I'm getting something good with this store. I'd say try their mint hot chocolate as it's perfect! I love the place but the one thing I wish was that there was more seating, because it's such a good place it's hard to find a seat at lunch."

"Visited Edinburgh and popped in for a bite to eat. Way bigger than you first think. Spacious great beer garden. Food was fantastic as everyone had something different. All arrived together and staff were so friendly and polite. Great service all round. Love to go back."

"We have eaten all round the world and this is the only place we can truly say OMG about. The balance... the subtlety... the imagination... the focus.... every single dish was fabulous, the service was friendly but efficient with everyone truly passionate about what they were doing. The stand out dish for me was the cheese course... but the seaweed wrapped cone with its tongue tingling surprise was a very close second and the scallop brought the sea to our plates. Clever but unpretentious food! Mark Slaney the owner knows his wines and the pairing was fantastic, but above all he really cares about the people who work for him making sure they dont work horribly long and unsocial hours (dinner only and 5 nights a week so two days off) and they get proper holidays and Christmas and New Year off.. I just have one question: why has this place only got one Michelin star?"

"Went on a Thursday evening and had the ‘Steak Frites’ deal any cut of steak with chips, choice of sauce and a glass of house wine for £12.50! Amazing food and value. The service was warm and friendly without being imposing. Will definitely return!"
