"We were handed a flyer by a young man and decided to try the restaurant for lunch the next day, especially because it had a garden. Of course, the next day was one of the coldest and grayest yet, so we ate inside at a cute wooden table.The tiny restaurant has been ope for just a month, and the three young people involved are doing their best to make it a success. The menu del dia at 60 pesos, included a pasta soup, a glass of horchata, and a plato fuerte with two choices: egg plant tex-mex or a carrot tinga/shredded, both served on a blue corn tortilla, and both accompanied by rice and salad. Plates, bowls and glasses are plastic, but there was sea salt on the table and service was excellent.We watched the food preparation behind a wooden counter in the corner, space that seemed too small for the two folks working there, to wash dishes and plate food, but they seemed to have it down.The flavors were surprisingly rich, and a bowl of green salsa brought to the table reminded us exactly of a mint and coriander chutney that we love in an Indian restaurant back home in New Mexico. Our only dissapointment was that the rice, which was very tasty, with green peppers mixed in, was served cold.We felt very righteous after our healthy meal, and we were happy we could support these earnest young people in their new endeavor.Various beverages (chai, etc.) and desserts were available at additional cost. Maybe the weather will warm up and the sun will come out and we'll be able to eat outside in the garden next time.f"

"My husband and I were looking for some good food at affordable prices and we stumbled across this gem. We spent the next 4 nights and 1 morning eating our way through the delicious 95 pesos menu. The portions were large, the service friendly and...the food was wholesome and delicious. Don't waste your time searching for any other place."

"We went here twice during our three-day stay at San Christobal and has to be our favourite for breakfast as well as eating later in the day. They are located close to the core. There is ample seating inside, but we preferred the back garden. The food is absolutely delicious. The burgers come with six or seven choices as well as whole grain buns. There are many other choices too. I found the fruit mixes a little bit sweet to my taste, but learned that the fruit waters (there is also something on the menu called Popeye, which is healthy and delicious). This place is highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan options. "Mediocre: sadly the eggplant was overcooked and mushy without a distinctive flavor. The French dish’s green beans were overcooked and it all was kind of a melang. although the chicken was good, it did not taste like it was steeped in white wine. (The food did not sit well with us the next day but we never know what that is due to for sure)."
