"This small Japanese restaurant is situated at busy Harris st area in Pyrmont. The main meals taste really great. Me and my wife ordered beef tongue with spinach and chilli pork (as pictured). Beef tongue meal tastes juicy without being burnt. It is served with fresh spinach and cabbage salad. In previous occasion, I sampled their ginger pork to my delight, this time I ate the chilli pork. Like the beef tongue dish, the meat was cooked perfectly. Along with side dish of Tsukne served with sweet caramelised sauce, this restaurant truly made our day. We look forward to ordering more varieties of their sushi/sashimi. Always best pick for lunch at Pyrmont area."

"Knowing that this is one of the fine dining Japanese restaurant, I walked in with a lot of expectations. Having been to Japan numerous times, I know exactly what s good and whats bad. Overall, we've ordered 5 dishes with 2 dessert. The dessert was tiny but tasty (like wow). The savoury food wasn't as good as expected. The sashimi platter was fancy but I've tried fresher ones elsewhere with lower prices considering its $60 for 24 pieces. The robata lamb was soft and juicy. The crispy rice with tuna was nice. The highlight seems to be the salmon belly aburi (melt in your mouth!) Tempura red snapper can be a miss if you prefer traditonal style tempura. I feel like the service is a rush. Once you finish a dish, the next one comes almost immediately, eventually rushing u out the door. If I need to pay $100 pp for this and this is a fine dining experience, then I think there's a lot more to learn beside simply having a lot of waitress/ers, dark atmosphere and fresh ish food."

"Good value weekday lunch set menu. There are a lot of bento boxes to try, rice bowls and udon sets. I decided to have the udon set menu today which consisted a small bowl of udon (the staff was nice to swap soba noodles for me) and a lovely bowl of chirashi sushi bowl. $14.95

"I went to Mosburger in Japan and had a beef patty between rice. It was a disaster because the rice stuck to my fingers and fell apart easily. Gojima’s fixed that by making the rice crispy and adding a layer of seaweed and I thought it worked well. The beef was good, just a little chewy and very thin which may have thwarted their efforts to cook it medium. Great sauce with a distinctly Japanese flavour. The cheeseburger seems fairly expensive for the size but it makes a great novelty."
