"The host, who is also the manager I believe, seated me right away even though my friend has not arrived yet. Service: this brought my rating to a 3, it was ok and certainly could improve. There were only 2 waitresses, I could understand that covering that many tables was not easy. At 7pm on a Thursday the restaurant had about 5-6 tables in total inside and at the parklet. I think the service could be a bit more attentive.Drinks: I ordered a cocktail, which took more than 15 mins to arrive. I might not have complained or been underwhelmed had I not sat across the bar. It did not seem the bartender was busy that it took her 15 mins to make my drink. Food: We ordered fried chickpea balls, fried wings and roasted whole red snapper. All were good, the appetizers were relatively better. Red snapper was fresh and cooked perfectly, pretty big, but a tad under-salted and grapefruit side did not really compliment it."

"Stuck in Mickey-land for a convention, a group of us were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oscar's at the Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. Although I'm not a lover of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual, including a smoked salmon bar, prosciutto bar and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of family's with kids, so it was a bit noisy, but that didn't really detract...everything the group of 4 tried, we loved. Only 2 things that were a little strange were that the cost of the buffet only included Mimosas, not Bloody Marys and there were no Eggs Benedict on the buffet??What impressed me most though was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar, it was empty, although two staff members I asked told me it would be restocked. When I mentioned it to our waiter, he came back and said they'd run out, which was disappointing. The manager came over an apologized, said they'd even sent over to the next door Hikton but they were out til Monday...not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate heaped with the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time....THAT is service."

"Great dinner out with my family. The starter salad has so many toppings! Greens, red onions, dried cranberries, feta, on and on with a great house dressing. My calzone full of my choice of spinach, artichoke hearts, and tomatoes was flavorful. My husband had never seen so many lasagna options, and the girls were happy with their kid sized chicken Alfredo and focaccia. Can’t pass on the happy, happy hour pina colada for $5 or the huge chocolate chip cookie for dessert! Loved having the assistant GM stop by to check on us and tell us the history of the restaurant and its ghostly resident. Highly recommended!"

"First the drinks: i had an “old havana” and a “dunlop”. both were rum drinks but very different. the old havana was slightly sweet and very smooth. the dunlop was much stronger and felt like something i’d want to drink next to a fireplace. both drinks were expertly mixed and well balanced. i also tried my friend’s “21 hayes”, which was a great gin drink despite the fact that i hate gin. the food: portions are decently sized but by no means large. we sampled all of the oysters first, which were not that impressive. but my main dish and side were great. we also had a chocolate bread pudding and a soft cow’s cheese for dessert. the bread pudding was soft and yummy. the place itself is great for food or drinks. we sat near the bar area, which gets pretty loud."
