"Ordered 3 signature dishes for dinner takeout:Spaghetti Bolognese sauce was flavourful with a hint of sweetness. Went well with the noodles.Hainan Chicken with Rice not as gingery as Singaporean style but still very good. There were a good number of chicken pieces with rice.BBQ Chicken Steak with potatoes Chicken was ok nothing special. The gravy that came with the dish had no flavour.Each dish came with a drink. Paid extra to get iced coffee and lemon tea.Noticed a few interesting items on the menu. Will definitely go back to try something else."

"We usually travel to Markham 2 or 3 times a year. It's part of our ritual to find a new restaurant to add to our favorites. Chef Wong's was highly recommended by my friend and he knows about good dinning. So after spending a wonderful day at the beach (Sandbanks), our party of 10 was starving for a Chinese meal. Peking duck first and foremost. We ordered 2 and it was very satisfying. Crispy skin and tasty. The little pancakes roll were perfect. The second dish of minced duck meat that follows was also very good with nice crispy lettuce. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Too much to review here. The menu is extensive. Everything from quick meal dishes to fine dinning plates are available. We intend to visit again next time as it is now on our favorite list. Bon appétit!"

"Food and service were both great. the prices are fair, but not the cheapest. I wanted to give 5 stars, but a court took forever to come and we had to ask the waitress to speed it up. overall I really enjoyed eating here with my family."

"I visited the restaurant with my boyfriend as we were gifted a Groupon to use for a quiet night out. I was a little apprehensive about going since the reviews seems to be all over the place. First off, the location is a little odd (in a small strip mall on the corner of a major intersection leading into a residential area), but don't let that bother you. Once inside, the decor is a little strange. Ocean/island themed, with stringed Christmas-type lights hanging form the ceiling, a "tree" in the middle of the dining room, and glass-topped tables with sand/shells underneath. Some reviewers found this off-putting, but I thought it was very cozy, and definitely something kids would love if they visited.So, on to the food. We had a 6 course meal. The shrimp cocktail was awesome! Flavorful and large shrimp, accompanied with a nice selection of Salad greens. The Lobster bisque was great, but did not contain any chunks of lobster that we could see. The salad was awesome! Again, with a nice selection of greens, and covered in a flavorful dressing. It was nice not to be served a run of the mill iceberg lettuce-based salad.On to the main courses...I ordered the lamb, while my date ordered the steak, and as main dishes, we were very happy with the size of portions served, and they were cooked just as ordered (Med-rare for the lamb, and Med-well for the steak). Extra points for that, since so many places that proclaim to be steak houses get this WRONG.Service was fast and courteous. The food was not "mind-blowing" exceptional, but we did enjoy everything we ate. I really liked the ambiance of this place, and would definitely recommend it for a date night. I liked that it wasn't overly fancy or pretentious, and seemed to be a great place to bring kids as well."

"This was a favorite takeout spot that we used during the height of the pandemic and once we felt comfortable enough for in person dining, it became part of our regular rotation.Dumpling King is well spaced out. The tables aren't crowded like you'd find at some Chinese restaurants. The wait staff are friendly and polite.The food here is good. Let's not kid ourselves dumplings are easy to make, so I'm not splitting hairs here. There is a great number of variety of fillings you can choose, and you can also choose between boiled, steamed, or pan fried. (If it doesn't specify, it's boiled. Although this is a dumpling place, their other cooked foods are also quite good. We've seen people ordering hot plates or hot pot plates. We saw several guests have an entire meal without any dumplings. I'll just list things that we basically order every time: A16 Steamed Lamb Dumplings A23 Pan Fried Leek Pork Pot Stickers B6 Pan Fried Pancake w/ Green Onions G2 Lamb w/ Cumin Spices L6 Green Beans Sauteed w/ Dried Shrimp Minced PorkOverall this is a place I can recommend and the portions are pretty good for today's restaurant prices. We will be coming back here again and again."
