"That was a sweet spot for a sweet treat! The girl was nice friendly, also liked her recommendations! I have a small shaver with Mango Blue Hawaii taste with a snow cap Macadamia nut crunch ice cream, so delicious!!! *Bonus- Self must see a volleyball tournament during our dessert!"

"This is a great Hawaiian shaved ice place. We tried Gecko Girls on a very hot day. We tried the Lava Flow and the Kona Sunset. The Lava Flow had great strong flavors and had a scoop of coconut ice cream, a great touch. The Kona Sunset has more mild tropical flavors, but also had tasty mochi on the side. The ice was different from other Hawaiian shave ice places. This ice was shaved smaller and felt “smoother”. A must try while in Kona!"

"The medium sized cone was more than enough for 5 of us to share. We had Pina colada and lilokoi flavored with a pineapple soft serve and snow cap add on. Very refreshing and doesn't taste artificial at all! The store itself is small with limited sitting area. Kind of stuffy too. But the shaved ice itself was great!"

"Great tour and location! So many Kona farms to choose from and so glad we picked Mountain Thunder. Fabulous tour guide..short, but super informative tour and free. Nice gift shop with plenty of coffee to purchase and other coffee related gifts. Coffee was superb. You must do the Cloud Forest Sanctuary self guided tour while there. It is $10 for a group and we’ll worth it. It’s short, but gorgeous. The constant mist from the clouds is also refreshing. Great local business to support."
