"Today the was worth a bit, and I had a little extra to splurge on this time round – and decided I would like to cook some fresh seafood for me! although, I might have gone a bit “over board” with my meal. I had a whole lobster, two crab-caus clusters that sprouts, lobster macartomas, the cripple clams, a cocktail, a root beer, and a brownie sun dessert. each individual dish was cooked to perfection, easy to crack, and naturally quite fill. my server, micah, made only the whole experience easier and more pleasant. he was quick with refilling, happy clarified plates after need, and was overall very attentive to my needs without being too vibious or intrusive. he got a tip that was over 20% because he deserved it. I will be back in any case!"

"I have never been more appalled at a staff member in my life. The Porch has always had a welcoming atmosphere, and the servers that I have had are sweet, inviting, and incredibly hard working. I thought this would be my favorite restaurant in Winston until I saw the way the manager treats his employees ! I can only assume this man thinks he is the top dog everywhere in his life! He had glasses and colored hair. I wish I can remember his name because he was atrocious! His customer service was fantastic ... but my husband and I could overhear every horrible thing he said about his employees and watched him speak so foully to someone's face ... I was surprised the person didn't start crying or walk out! It didn't end there, he was speaking down on so many workers there ... even ones that I have had before that I thought were fantastic. Behind their back, to their face ... it didn't matter ... he was clearly not excited to be working with anyone there that wasn't himself ... I cannot trust a restaurant that will allow someone so cruel to work in their management!! I don't care if this man OWNS the place NO ONE deserves to be spoken about the way that he did to his employees. His customer service really was fantastic ... He was nothing but kind to us. I really would have nothing but good things to say about the Porch if I didn't overhear him! If you don't care about this detail ... the Porch is a five star restaurant. The food was amazing, it came out quickly and was delicious. The atmosphere is great. Make your own informed decisions before eating here!"
