First time here and absolutely love this place. There were about 15 beers on tap, and then a ton of coolers lining the wall opposite of the bar that had an insane amount of different canned and bottled beer. There were so many options that it gave me anxiety and took me about 15 minutes to decide what I wanted. The bar tender was super friendly, there was ample seating an areas with a couch, TVs playing the football... View all feedback.
What Bekki Johnson doesn't like about Dogwood Hops And Crops:
Every time I go to this establishment I feel either rushed out or inconveniencing them. In particular the bartender Al has been generally unpleasant since I 've been attending over 2 years ago, I pray that I never get her I 've even talked to her about her behavior and she said she was going through a hard mental time just to continue her behavior. It truly seems like a bar that only wants certain clientele. As a pat... View all feedback.
This was my first time coming in here and I really liked it! The hours are great and the atmosphere was laid back and inviting. The person working was incredibly friendly and helpful, checking in and answering questions as needed. There was a good selection of beers on tap, with even at least one each of a seltzer and cider option. There were even more options to buy from, from shelves and coolers. I had seen several unique selections and left with 6 individual cans of new things to try. I am already looking forward to going back soon! I especially like the option to drink there as well as get drinks for home too.
Great place for rare beer and fine bourbon . Always a good time and good mood from one of my favorite spots in Winston
Dogwood has been a go-to of mine during my last few visits to Winston-Salem. Small, cozy yet comfortable bar with a good tap list bolstered by it's absolute plethora of fantastic canned beers which you can either buy to drink there or take home. Not sure how they do it but Dogwood always has an incredible selection of beers, and I always manage to find a new favorite each time I go. Definitely a must-stop for any beer lover, beginner or expert. It's a great beer bar.
I only give 4 stars because of the bartender. Beer selection was great, I even got several Christmas gifts for friends at home from the coolers along the wall. The service was fast, although not especially friendly. I was there with a friend and since he bought dinner I was buying our drinks. She refused to speak to me directly, kept talking to him regarding cash out even though I used my card for the tab and even after asking the name still handed the bill to him to sign. I’m not sure if she was having an off night or just into my drinking companion but it was very off putting and sadly I felt as though my business didn’t matter at all to her. Which is unfortunate since it seems like a cool place for my trips down. I think I’ll stick to The Trophy Room next door instead.
Cool place, terrible service. I’ve never experienced customer service anywhere like I did here. I put 20 bucks into a machine. It owed me 12 and I politely asked the brown headed, tattooed, bartender if she could help me. She told me she couldn’t help me get my change and gave me a sarcastic thumbs up. I asked her if she could call management. She proceeded to tell me to get the F out of her bar because she didn’t like my energy- literally just asking for my change. It’s not about the money. It’s about how I was treated and the principal. If they will take money from me, they will take it from anyone. Do not recommend. .
