"I love seward cafe because the food is decent and vegan also i love how they have a free room to encourage reusing belongings including clothes and kitchenware vds, books, shoes, yarn, beads and any material belongings people just donate there, but yes i love getting cute grungey worn out clothes also nice clothes too, childrens clothes from there but also sometimes you can find really nice stuff as well like one time i found a whole box of victoria secret bras and garments, VS isnt really my style but like, thats what you can find there is basically anythingg!! I love it there and hope it reopens soon, like, real soon... edit: they only have part of the restaurant open and the free room doesnt seem to be used which makes me really sad i hope the free room opens soon!!"

"Great food and service. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for our two children. We all ate until we were full and went into our pockets with two more meals worth of food. Great neighborhood restaurant and good Italian food. I would recommend the Calimari as a starter who can keep up with the best that Chicago has to offer. "Was having a really bad day, feeling very alone and upset because most people in my area eat meat. Decided to come here for the first time. It looks a little intimidating from the outside, but inside, the workers are very nice. I didn't feel judged or looked down on. I just showed them on the menu what I wanted to buy, asked for it in a to-go container, and then it was ready in a few minutes. They have seating indoors now, but I wanted it to-go anyway. I got full-size vegan biscuits and gravy for $8, portion size was huge, super good and super worth it. Today I was going through a hard time and hard times cafe helped me feel a little better about the world. I can't think of any cons about this place. Thanks :"

"Sunday brunch has a tantalizing menu that was all kinds of delicious. I chose the chilaquiles and never knew breakfast could taste that good. Perfectly prepared, great presentation, more than enough food to keep me full for the day. Friend had the steel cut oats which were served almost like waffles. Never seen it before, but they were delicious, and sort of cozy? I'm already dying to go back. Yum!"
