"RAW carrot cake! Unfortunately, it’s possibly the worst “carrot cake” you can have it’s actually a really dense wet muffin instead of a traditional cake and has cranberries and flate white chocolate chips, very strange and disappointing for a place that calls itself a bakery. The danishes taste old or frozen and if it’s not that, something else is off because the pastry is chewy and stiff instead of flaky and leaves a bad gritty aftertaste. Like other reviews, most pastries bought were sadly tossed because they were pretty bad. What a waste of money. You’re better off getting desserts anywhere else even the grocery store pastries are better. Are you ok Crust? Seems like a lot is not going well there.Nothing tasted fresh and is definitely not worth the prices upwards of $4.50 per pastry. Also, isn’t quiche supposed to be refrigerated? They have them stacked in the display case which doesn’t seem safe.Sad experience :"

"My first coffee at the Cherries Breakfast Bistro and a walk in the Panama Flats made me decide to move into this neighbourhood. I loved the ambience, the hospitality and the warmth that the owner and the staff radiated. After moving into my new apartment,I visited this Bistro often for brunch and coffee. I worked on my research, read books and wrote my diary all while enjoying asip of coffee and a tasty bite. My favourites include tofu sandwich and Florentine. The staff is always welcoming and friendly,which brings a smile to your face and you always want to come back. These are lovely people serving delicious food in a homeyatmosphere."

"Met my friend for coffee at the Broken Paddle at the end of June 2017. Nice little place situated near the Metchosin Farmer's Market and the Mi Chosen (sp)? Café. Quite small and you may need to share a table. Coffee was good and for a medium the cost was $2.55"

"Very cozy space! We came for happy hour before cirque. Three from our table ordered the special platters which came with steak, veggies, Risotto, ahi tuna, and caesar salad and it was delicious! As you can see I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture cause we dug in so quickly! I would highly recommend the steak and the ahi tuna as both were delish! The risotto was so good as well. For our appetizers, we got the happy hour wings as well as the onion rings, and they were both great. I also had their chardonnay and it was perfectly dry. Great service!"

"I go here every morning and get different items- everything on their menu is great especially their bagels with avacado and tomato. They also have great coffee, a selection of teas and salads, and more. Its especially great because you know that you are eating fresh, and organic food. I would recommend this place 1000 times over."

"First time visitor and really satisfied! So many options and I was happy with my local homemade burger (and I’m picky about my burgers). The cinnamon bun was also delish. Can’t wait to go back, probably before noon to beat the huge rush."
