"After running around Vancouver for a week we needed a change of pace. The land of great seafood and Chinese cuisine was wearing my buddy down. I am a SEE-food EATer. If I SEE it..I EAT it. He is not into pork, fish, tomatoes, mushrooms...don't like Dim Sum, PHO, Sushi, may eat vegetarian...you know the type right? LOL!Was going to go Korean but it was packed! So...off to Felicos. A Greek resto in Richmond! Go figure! Gotta Go!!!!The place was not busy. Let's say around 25% capacity - but it was Monday night - me thinks.We ordered the fixed menu with steak, salad, and dessert. The steak was ok...nothing to write about in great lengths. It was supposed to be medium but I got spots of rare to well done - probably the steak was frozen at some time. The rub could use a bit more salt as it was a bit bland for me. Dessert was tiramisu - nothing to rage about.All in all, an OK meal and my bud got a chunk of steak that he was craving all week! "We went last Saturday. The waiters were rude. They took away our plates and serving dishes without asking even though we were still eating. Throughout the dinner, we felt that we were being rushed. The waiter even yelled at us to take our desert bowls away. Due to that, we decided to give a low tip because of the bad service. Without even asking us “why” we decided to tip lower than “usual”, the manager put up his arrogant face and told us that 10% is the “expected amount”. We told him that the service was rude and we were being rushed out the door. We were trying to celebrate a special occasion but we didn’t enjoy our dinner. Without apologizing, he argued that they were busy. This place is rude and definitely doesn’t care about your business because they are too “busy”. This was not cheap dinner. For our group, the bill was over $500. It doesn’t matter if your restaurant check is $50 or $5000, this was terrible and extremely rude service! If you want value and respectable service, go somewhere else."

"Located just at the same place where the previous Kam Do Restaurant in Alexandra Road, the Eat Street of Richmond. They offered traditional Cantonese food - congee, flat noodle, egg noodle and rice with various topping (all day) but will give you a dinner menu at the right time if you come for dinner. Actually, the team was said to come from the previous famous Ho Yuen Kee Restaurant in Fraser Street, Vancouver (I was told). Food quality is upto standard and price is just alright - reasonable price. Dinning hall is comfortable n you won't feel too crowded. Parking is available at the back. My friend visited them during lunch time with satisfaction as well. They closed at 11:00 pm."

"Whilst on holiday in Vancouver, we discovered this place in the Food Court of the Richmond Centre shopping complex. The ingredients were fresh, there were many choices and service was good. Hadn't eaten at a place like this before but will again if we see another U Grill. Being able to select your own ingredients & quantity is a great idea."

"I arrived from Victoria and took the Skytrain into Richmond. I'm a plant eater and this place came up. I found it, walked inside and it was packed. The first person asked me to wait and I asked for a menu. While reading the menu a second person came up to me and said we don't really cater to 1 person and I should go somewhere else. I did!"

"The steam dumplings and Shanghai fried thick noodles are their signature dishes. The beef wrap is very tasty. If you never try small wonton you can find it here. I have tried the braised chicken noodle soup many place and I love this one the most , very tasty and noodles are soft. We love this place and the prices are reasonable."

"There are lots of different dim sum restaurants across town but we like to try different places – which explains how we wound up at Royal Seafood Restaurant in Richmond. It’s located on the 2nd floor of the Garden City Shopping Centre mini mall located at the corner of Blundell and Garden City Road. When we arrived on an early Sunday morning, there were plenty of tables available but they did fill later on (still not a huge line-up tho’ . Most items that we tried on this visit were $7.45 (except for the dessert dish that turned out to be $4.35 . The first dish to arrive was the Spicy Beef Tripe. The honeycomb tripe was fairly tender but we didn’t notice the spiciness until afterwards when the chili sauce hits the back of your throat. Next was the steamed Shrimp and Pea Tips dumplings which is a nice departure from the regular har gow. I found that the Beef Rice Rolls were a bit basic but satisfying. For dessert, we ordered the Mango Pudding – which was a fairly firm incarnation. The presentation could use a bit of an upgrade from the 4 blocks of pudding that we received (a very utilitarian display . The last dish to arrive at our table was the Baked BBQ Pork Buns with a pineapple crust topping. These came out freshly baked and had a soft and warm bbq pork filling. The cute turtle shape didn’t detract me from eating it. Overall, most of the dim sum dishes here were pretty good so we decided to return for a visit in late September to try more of their dim sum dishes. The Deep Fried Shrimp Spring Rolls (L came out hot and had a nice crispy bite to them. As if we didn’t need more fried foods, we ordered the Deep-Fried Silver Thread Buns. I felt like these came out a bit dense and not as light and airy as it should be on the inside. Next were the Chicken Feet in Spicy Sauce (M . Followed by the Coconut Osmanthus Pudding (S . I really like how this came out (a bit more decorative appeal compared to their mango pudding . Actually, I really liked this – especially mixing the flavours together in one bite. But we weren’t done yet… We also ordered the Special Rice Roll with Fish Paste and Bean Curd. It’s funny because I’ve only just started noticing this rice roll dish being served at more dim sum places recently. While the fish paste filling in the middle was quite nice, I thought the bean curd wrap that encased it wasn’t crispy enough. Lastly, we finished things off with an order of Steamed Beef Balls. These were a bit basic and lacking in flavour."
