"I’ve been living in an apartment down the street from this restaurant for almost a year. It always seems like a lovely place to eat and is full of happy people. However I have now tried to eat there two times and was treated really rudely by staff both times. The first time I went there to grab a drink with a friend we were ignored for 10 minutes by staff so we walked out and left. The second time, months later, I had a reservation with my partner and the waiter was extremely rude about our inquiry to seating outside. I understand COVID-19 regulations make everything stressful but they were handled in a very dismissive and disrespectful way. Again, we left. I’m not sure if this has to do with the fact that I’m a student and don’t speak Dutch or just bad luck from rude waitstaff but it left me pretty upset both times. It’s a shame because having a great restaurant so close by seemed like a real plus."
