"Overall it was as good, however the seafood risotto was a mush of rice containing only 2 prawns, two small mussels and one piece of squid about the size of a 10p coin. Very disappointing, whereas the Tuna steak was excellent!"

"We took half a cruise, they served drinks. the skipper informed us about what we saw. it was very scenic. then we had a beautiful delicious meal in the restaurant. I loved it."

"An idyllic country pub only 10 minutes walk from the city centre. However the ideal is to pair the visit with a from wolvecote walking down port meadow and entering via a magical pathway from the river. We really enjoyed our food but only wished my main came with some carbs. If you are visiting internationally make this a stop for dinner while you visit."

"This has got to be one of my favourite restaurants in Oxford. The food is always beautiful and staff are always so friendly. We don't live in Oxford but everytime we visit we always try and eat here! The menu has great choice and plenty too chose from whatever you fancy. We got the Tartiflette and Chicken Liver Pate as starters and both were delicious. The Tartiflette was a creamy baked potato dish topped with cheese and herbs and served with bread, a lovely starter. The pate was also lovely and had a great texture and was full of flavour. For mains the duck was the stand out dish crispy skin on the outside and soft tender meat in the middle. Lots of meat on the bone too. The bean cassoulet underneath was amazing, so flavoursome and the chorizo really complemented the duck and the herby taste from the beans. Also ordered the fillet steak and a side of truffle mash. Best mash I've had! Creamy and smooth but the truffle taste isn't overpowering. Wine list could be a little better but managed to find a lovely high rated wine named Lucali Appasimento. Definitely recommend to red wine drinkers. Fantastic meal overall as always and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice French restaurant in the Oxford area. Looking forward to my next visit!"

"A beautiful restaurant serving all kinds of dishes seafood, fish, meat and vegetables. Some of the dishes we had were very good and uniquely flavored (King Garnur and the lamb special flower soup), but the minute steak was not a successful dish, it was open unchewable and the restaurant could not be a suitable cutting knife. Apart from that, the service was friendly and nice. The prices are a bit high, but was a nice overall experience!"

"Definitely a nice pub in the heart of Oxford, comfortable with friendly staff. It’s a small pub, can get crowded, but quiet enough to talk normally. Has many local ales. Pretty good for food too. I had the Game Pie. While not as flavourful as I was expecting, it was very hearty and kept me full for ages!"
