"Robins pie n mash shop is tucked away down a side street off of the main high street which leads down to the sea front. the layout of the shop reminded us of the pie n mash shops that we visited in the east end of london over 60 years ago and most importantlly , the pie, mash and liquer was just as delicious."

"This is our favourite sit down curry restaurant in Southend but too far away for a take-away delivery. The atmosphere is always warm and friendly and bookings are essential for weekends as they get busy. The food is always good and my wife who doesn 't like spicy food can always find something she likes. My favourite is Shami Kebab followed by Chicken Tikka Dhansak with mushroom pilau and Garlic Naan washed down with a large Cobra or Kingfisher Beer."
