"Apparently and the green man has not informed my reservation (they both accuse themselves for the debt). as a result we were sitting over an hour later than beside a kitchen door in a corner with a table that smells like chip fat."

"Gone so far and fast downhill it should enter the Winter Olympics. Used to be one of the top restaurants in Cambridge with exciting, innovative and really well prepared food. The new menu from a new chef is far more basic; think a half decent pub rather than a quality restaurant. What was there was executed reasonably well but was just pretty boring. I would hope that this is an interim slide that may be recovered from, but I wonder if the competition from another very good quality hotel with super restaurant in the shape of the newly revamped University Arms and Parker’s Tavern, is drawing the necessary custom to maintain a higher standard due to its favourable location. It is such a shame as we have held the Felix and sister hotel the Grange in York dearly in our affections for many years. Although we live in Cambridge we have many times treated ourselves to a night across town in the hotel away from kids, but won’t be going back with the current state of the restaurant. I can’t really be upset or angry as a customer, there was nothing inherently terrible, service was OK in contrast to some reviews recently, I am just sad that it has changed so much."

"This place has a beautiful location at the river. very expensive. I had the king garnel for a starter, just a few gumy garnels in an alleged tomato sauce with chili tasted like garne in a bottle tomato. my man had the brote with dip and olive, nice brot, but very expensive, very average. we both had the rib-eye steak, both had to be returned, mine was so tough and my men, dripping in blood and tasteless. both ordered to cook medium. both meal times were replaced, my steak much more beautiful, but the tomato and mushrooms were cold? not warm) my man decided to replace his steak with the gay that was quite beautiful. very disappointing overall. we will not return."

"Easy disappointing. The food was indifferent this time. Looks good, but didn't taste as it should. I had much better meals at Browns Cambridge and make sure they can do better. I hope it was just a way out."

"Been several times before but oh dear.. gone down hill. Only bistro menu available souffle was sloppy, main was good, cheese course very minimal. Service poor, friendly but pretty non existant. Shame."
