"Come here every time I am in Basel, sometimes 3 nights in a row. Food is really good, I always have the same dish because I love it so much. My colleagues have different dishes and they are a hit. Outside seating in summer is a bonus. We usually don't reserve but have always accommodated us even on busy evenings. Service is quick and friendly."

"Was here in August with friends and family. Food was brillant, I dare say 5 pluds, service to die for. All staff paid attention to detail. Perhaps this was because my friend made the reservation, is a premium customer that orders regularly and the restaurant makes deliveries even though that was not their custom.... get my drift?Fast forward to October, I made the reservation as it was my birthday. Service was good but no way what we experienced in August. Food, just okish. Given this, I am inclined to agree with other reviewers that the food is overpriced.There has been no change in management. Given this, will definitely not be returning.Consistency is EVERYTHING!"

"Die Bewertungen sind absolut verwirrend ! Diese Hauben wie auch der Stern sind ein Irrtum! // Absoluter mieser Empfang, obwohl wir reserviert hatten. - Die Gastgeber sind mit diesem Lokal überfordert. Zur Eröffnung des Abends standen die kleinen Schinken Gipfeli schon auf dem Tisch, eiskalt.- Wir bestellten Spargeln, die Qualität war ok, mehr nicht.- So weit so gut, die Sauce Hollandaise roch nach Sardellen, die Mayonnaise war dünn wie Wasser, beide Saucen wahrscheinlich ausgedünnt mit Zitronensaft. Das Mineralwasser war warm, statt frisch und kalt. Die Kartoffeln kalt und mussten ausgewechselt werden. Auf meine Nachfrage hin warum die die Bratkartoffeln nicht warm serviert wurden; erwiderte Frau Möller, ihr Mann hätte mit den Vorspeisen und den Beilagen nichts zu tun, die sei Sache dass Hilfskoches. Also eine Überheblichkeit die nicht zu überbieten war.- Auch der Kaffee eine billige Sorte aus einem billigen Automaten.Rundum sicher kein Michelin Restaurant! Zudem ist die Preis / Leistung ungenügend.-Das Blumenglas auf dem Tisch war mit Algen und Schleim gefüllt, hat auf einem Speise- Tisch nichts zu suchen. Eine Ambiente gibt es nicht, alles erinnert an ein Altersheim, im Raum wie auch auf dem Teller.- Nicht zu empfehlen.- 5.5.17"

"Great place, huge portions, friendly (Hungarian) staff and always a few jokes or kind words what you get here. We eat here a lot, usually for lunch and it's fair to say you don't have to wait for long to get your food. They offer take away and you can dine in as well, although outside there are not many seats (2 at a table). Highly recommended, the food is great, although not that authentic, more European flavours, which for me is a plus."

"Eating was amazing. we ordered tagliatelle with truffles and cordon bleu with frits. the pasta was fresh and the truffles composed the pasta really good. the frits are thin and crispy and the cordon bleu is very tasty."
