"Really nice izakaya place with unique Japanese dishes that taste very authentic. Ingredients used are also very fresh and their wagyu is very tender. The wagyu and uni was definitely worth the price with a generous piece of wagyu that melts in your mouth, topped with a rich portion of uni. Sukiyaki, agedashi tofu and fried oysters were all amazing. Love this place!"

"This place is hidden from the main strip right up the back to the left of Aldi’s in Oxford Village. I’ll be honest and say I love the claustrophobic sushi place in the complex - but alas was closed during my Easter visit. Lucked out when finding this place. Great open setup with configurations for groups and solo dining.<br>

The food was great, the service friendly helpful and attentive, but I’m not sure about the portion sizes matching the price tags and am still deliberating on how I feel after the experience. Was the meal satisfying - Yes it was, so we’ll leave it there for now as the verdict is not out yet…<br>

Har Gau Prawn Dumplings were fabulous though I’m very easily impressed. Seafood Rice was good, but you’d have one prawn diced into 4 pieces, same with the calamari and I felt it was a little stingy. The Beef Flank was great with simple seasoning, but again - portion sizes are the issue. All in all was a hearty meal."

"Really enjoyed all the courses we had at 3 pm. Highly recommend the calamari and pop prawns. The beef pasta dish was delightful, the snapper delicious, but not unique in any way. Philip and the other staff were friendly and welcoming, very attentive. We would not hesitate to return as it was a god experience and tasty food. Prosecco was great and their espresso martini made with love by the gorgeous bar man."

"Was recommended this place by a colleague so we headed there for lunch one day. Medan Ciak has a number of good selection. Most rice dishes such as the Nasi Lemak, Nasi Padang are put together with all the cooked ingredients on the baine marie. I had the Nasi Padang, big serving of rice served with beef curry, fried chicken, vegetable curry, boiled egg, sambal and cucumber for $12. Very reasonable! My colleagues also liked the Nasi Lemak Komplit and Kway Teow with the kangkung belacan. Good recommendation!
