"First impressions of this establishment were not good. The upstairs sit down area had the ambiance of a third world factory canteen. My friend ordered a stir fry which looked quite good, but he said was fairly oily. I ordered chili and soy chicken with rice. It was supposed to be chicken breast but what I received was obviously reheated boiled rice that was crunchy and the "chicken breast" was worryingly small bones with small pieces of dry stringy meat attached. I barely touched the rice and now wish I had not touched the alleged chicken."

"The prime location of this venue benefits from the foot traffic from CBD workers, university students, Broadway Shopping Centre shoppers making this place so versatile for a solo meal, meetup with friends, work lunch or group celebration. The service staff is warm and friendly and the menu curated by owner, Trung who has over 25 years of experience running a chain of restaurants abroad with Bon Bistro being his first Australian venture. His "produce is freshly sourced", serving sizes "have to be big" and he has a keen sense of bringing value to his customers without compromising on the traditional authentic flavors of Vietnamese Cuisine!ENTREE:Sauteed Corn with dry shrimps isn't something I would normally order but I trusted Trung's recommendation and the crispy corn and pungent sundried shrimp combination is quite addictive with soft bursts of soft centred corn. Very new combination for me.WINTER MENU:I had to try the winter menu, as Trung tends to change it seasonally and my goodness! On a cold day like today, the MEEKONG BEEF STEW was a hearty spectacle with a rich yet not too heavy broth and egg noodle with slight Mediteranean seasoning mixed through the usual Vietnamese accompaniments of bean sprouts, mint, Lemon & fresh chilli. I highly recommend this comfort dish!!!MAIN:The VERMICELLI NOODLE SALAD has is perfectly balanced with the mix of noodles, mint, carrout, sprouts, home made fish sauce with a warm stiry fried pork and spring rolls. The ratio of the ingredients is so carefully done each ingredient gets its moment as you work your way through each component or toss it through.Trinkets of Vietnam adorn the venue with beautiful feature mirrors through out, a great space for any occassion there is also a wheelchair lift making it very friendly and accessible for all! Comfort Food, Warm Service & a welcome from the owner as if you are stepping into his home, be prepared for a great meal out where it is impossible to leave unsatisfied!"

"Great Chinese food.. regular visitor to this place. Our favourite is Cumin chicken and Chicken in chilli sauce. Prices - cheap $Ambience - its like a take away joint but still decent enough to sit and enjoy the meal. # 21/12/16 dinner - got a plastic piece in my dinner and waiting staff apologised but was very hesitant to replace the dish. These things happen but will definitely go again as the food is cheap and best."

"Ginger pork noodle soup 4/5, served generously in a large bowl with plenty of piping hot belly warming broth, one of the best (hand-pulled? noodles i have tasted in a long time. Fine tune your meal with the free sauces chillies condiments available. <br/ <br/ Taiwanese sausage 3.5/5, didnt look like much until i took a bite and almost couldnt stop. A bit like chinese/hongkong-ese sausage (lap cheong but way softer. Please dont ask me to choose which is better. <br/ <br/ Soy braised pork belly 3.75/5, sliced thinly melt in your mouth goodness this was, only social decorum and self restraint stopped me from polishing this off by meself esp when the i got the meal shouted by my good dining companion. <br/ <br/ Company 4.75/5, minus 0.25 for not letting me eat everything!! Thanks SydguyRoj."

"Definitely a 3.5 though no it is not a 4 star place. The setting is basic, the food is basic, but why my friends and I have been here many times is because of its PANCAKE! Indonesian pancake (you can choose so many flavours: durian, chocolate, condensed milk, coconut) is legitimately awesome"

"Shakshuka eggs and double espresso. Eggs were delicious and running - under a rich chunky tomato sauce. The court was spiced well and was great. Only what it has crushed was the average Pitta. Double Espresso was a bit short, but had a great finish. The place is trendy with dark colors and had a relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend"
