"This place was recommended by a friend and having been booked in for 2 weeks we were really looking forward to the meal the night before we were ‘text’ to say sorry booking is cancelled and the restaurant was closed for renovations. The next...evening we were strolling past and the restaurant was open. This was 2 Friday’s before Christmas, it was our Christmas do and we found it incredibly hard to find another place then to find out it was actually open was incredibly upsetting. Not sure whether they had double booked or simply didn’t want our custom but either way we won’t be returning ever again."

"I had gone several times in Tomi Bjorck’s restaurant Bronda in Helsinki, so I was really excited about going to Blanca. We were 3 guests. We chose the 7 course menu. The food was excellent. I liked the mix between Japanese food and Mediterranean influences. Some would say there’s not enough to eat... I was full by the 5th dish! The decor is really cool. Very Nordic/Scandinavian design, very comfortable. Service was great."

"Ordered a takeaway grilled Hoki fillet by itself for $9.50 (as I had my homemade salad . Unfortunately the result was not worth the amount paid for. It was surprisingly more oily than necessary. I asked for no seasoning but it proved to lack luxury of freshness. Pros of this place is the interior decor, fantastic sea change of a scenery and they use recycled napkins : Happy to have experienced this to know to go elsewhere."
