"Family run place, the mother was our server and she was FABULOUS!!! To be honest this was our first meal in Chania and the best! They started us off with small cup of homemade vegetable beef soup, than our Dakos and Octopus baked in a wine sauce. Than our main meal of lamb and my husband got a veal steak. My lamb was perfection. My husband thought the veal was overcooked, but flavor was very good. Than came our complimentary dessert and Raki. We paid in cash and they were sooo appreciative the mother sent us home with a small bottle of complimentary white wine that I enjoyed with my dinner as well as a jar of honey. Would HIGHLY recommend!!"

"That was such a beautiful and delicious meal. I had the 4-course dinner. started with brot and dips, including an olive oil and balsamico, olive grove and a third garlic aubergine dive. the brot was so fresh and good. I ordered the filled grape leaves for the starter and they were so fresh and tasty. next I ordered the vegan moussaka, which was so impressively delicious. also at this time I was pleasantly full and had a few grape leaves and the half of my moussaka passed. they offered to pack it so I could take it. for dessert I had a strawberry sorbet, it would also be greater than I could finish. the taste was incredible. the staff was so pleasant and nice, and they helped us to bring a delicious wine at dinner. I think we'll go back to visit before we leave the opposite. I wanted to try this restaurant because it was very recommended by our Airbnb host and they had listed several vegan items on the menu. really such a great restaurant."

"A disappointment. I know I am only a lone traveller and naturally they would give priority to their local residents. I get that, after all you will not be seeing me again after my holiday but you would be with the locals. That’s understandable. However, I trust you could make a few fire heaters for those poor tourists sitting outside who had to endure the strong wind by the sea at night. It’s not that difficult to anticipate given that it’s October and situated at the harbour front. Coming back to the food, the food could be good if only they could be served hot. The chicken I ordered is lukewarm at best and it’s down right cold and unacceptable to eat. I don’t think that’s to do with the cold wind although it had the certain effect of stealing the last bit of heat from the food. Service is just mechanical as how tourists are being treated. They can serve and they treat the locals far nicer but just not to the tourists. It’s a real disappointment! The wine list is huge and amazing! Such a shame that this restaurant is not really for the tourists. Food 6/10 (a solid 8/10 if served hot), service 6/10 (again a solid 8/10 to the locals), ambience 8/10, value for money 6/10 (8/10 if I get the right treatments as to the locals). Disappointed!"

"Wonderful food for every day. Had a fantastic breakfast this morning. poached eggs and smoked salmon, tried the strawberry choc pancakes as a bonus OMG it was lovely. Back tonight for chicken soupaki and some rose wine. Was a wonderful evening with great staff, and the relaxing crashing waves next to you make it even more pleasant. Very recommended"
