"My review is from the takeout I had tonight and last week. I ordered the same food: the eggplant appetizer and the tagliatelle bolognese. If I did this review last week, it would have been 5 stars for the food. Tonight, it’s more like 1. Hence, the 3 star rating. I can’t understand how the quality of the same items differed in a matter of 5 days. The tagliatelle tasted dry, it’s not even al dente. The eggplant wasn’t good this time there was hardly any sauce, and some of the Parmesan did not melt well, looked like it was still powder that somehow stuck to each grain over the eggplant. Even the bread that came with the food seemed blah, almost stale. I’m not sure I will go there a third time. Truly disappointed. ADDENDUM: I had to stop eating the tagliatelle. Didn’t get to eat half of it. The sauce was so different from last week’s. It’s like someone else made the sauce tonight. I had to take down the stars for food and overall rating. Parking: The ones nearby were filled, but the walk wasn’t far. "Wow! Wow! Wow! This review is long overdue, we ordered takeout from Aki on New Years Eve, when they seemed to be very busy. We ordered online, then drove to pickup, other than standing in line behind some rude people, we got our food almost right away and left in a hurry, not checking our food before we hurried out of the store and back home, since the bags were big and full with all of the things that we ordered. Well, we were rewarded for our faith, everything was perfect, and just as we ordered it. Not only that, but it was obvious that great care was taken to pack us up. We ordered 4 hibachi meals with two meats each, each of which came with soup, salad, 2 sauces, rice, veggies and meats. We also got two sushi rolls. Everything was packed lovingly and even with cardboard layers to keep things from getting crushed or knocked over. And the best part?! The food was absolutely delicious, and everything hot was still hot and fresh! I cannot wait to go back! If their takeout on a busy night was that impressive I absolutely cannot wait to eat in the dining room, and to takeout again. Thanks for making our 2021 New Year special Aki! I look forward to coming back!"

"The first thing I noticed about Magnolias was the limited parking spots. Impressive to me was their plan in place to resolve this issue. (They have valet parking The hostess was incredibly kind and seated us immediately. Cleanliness was the second thing I noticed. The tables were cleared and cleaned immediately. My friends and I went for breakfast and learned very quickly that the only eggs they serve are scrambled eggs. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and slow to refill our coffee. Food was very salty and frittata of the day was 99.9% scrambled eggs. I am giving a 4 though as this place is new and needs a little bit more time."

"We arrived within an hour and a half of closing and were seated in the back. The nearby bar was packed and somewhat noisy. The waiter didn’t seem to want to help us. When I asked for wine he said “red and white” and I asked specifically which one and he rolled his eyes and said “both good”. He didn’t seem to want to help with the menu so we felt his frustration. The food was middle of the road. Not creative and not well presented. We were disappointed all-around. Bummed, we love Tapas. This place needs a refresh."

"I’m posting this on behalf of my mother and father:Carolyn and John are from Long Island, NY. Whenever they visit downtown Englewood, their favorite restaurant is Fontana de Trevi, which features delicious traditional Italian food with a modern twist.They have been there numerous times and everything they order comes out perfect. Some of their favorite dishes include Linguini Seafood, Mezi-Rigatoni, Chicken Saltimbocca, Cold Seafood Salad, Pear Salad, and their famous raspberry panna cotta dessert. BYOB is a great plus, considering there is a liquor store just two doors down. The restaurant is decorated with elegance and romance. The cozy atmosphere reminds me of the small boutique restaurants all across Italy. The service is beyond excellent especially by Isidro, who is a true gentleman and extremely attentive."
